The only toilet is in the bathroom on the first floor. But that's not a real problem. You only have to consider this if you have some difficulties in climbing stairs. Otherwise, nothing else to report.

Easy to find, very well located, Neighbourhood is rather calm and you can relax easily. The enclosed garden in the back is a must to let your dog get out when the weather's warm. A very nice place.

Everything was perfect

From the minute I opened the door it felt welcoming, very modern in a very old cottage and lovely and warm Arrived at night so couldn't see the back garden but was absolutely perfect for my sister and I and my dogs, completely secure so near of them escaping Beautiful walks all around the area Logs available for if we wanted to light the log burner Central heating set just right Definitely recommend this cottage, we just wished we had booked for longer

Beautiful location, everything you need to feel at home. Extremely comfortable cottage, lovely and warm.in the evening's. Wonderful walks nearby, including Minto hill and spent a beautiful day exploring all the Eildon hills. Dog friendly, the stone and wooden floor's ideal for cleaning up paw's.

Nothing really not to like. I guess, if one is being picky, the decor could do with a freshen up in places, but that didn’t impact on our holiday and the cost was very fair. Communication by host was great.

Very nice cottage with more space than I expected. Views were amazing and there was a good enclosed garden and great local walks for our dog. Well equipped with most everything you need for a week’s holiday.

You definitely need a car here to enjoy the location fully. It's a long way from any public transport. We found the bed a bit uncomfortable

Loved the quiet location and view from the cottage. There was plenty of space inside for a family of 3. Hawick was only a short distance away with plenty of shops and restaurants

The property was really clean, perfect enclosed front and back garden for dogs, really close to Denholm which has a couple of great places to eat. Little extras such as tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were appreciated after a long drive

Perfectly located, a short pleasant walk from Denholm. The quiet little hamlet is a lovely, ‘get away from it all’ location and the cottage is just a dream of a place to stay.

A cosy and warm cottage in a great location with a lovely garden and great countryside around. Denholm is an attractive village nearby supplying lovely take away food from the restaurant and the pub. The cottage is near Hawick with supermarkets and a great leisure centre.

What a beautiful little cottage in a stunning setting. Walks right on the doorstep and such lovely people next door and in the village. Ye old cross keys pup is welcoming and dog friendly, will definitely be back.

Herb Wood is a quiet,cosy place for a relaxing stay. It is well furnished and fully equipped. The house was spotless and the king size bed extremely comfortable. Heating and hot water were readily available and the super-large bath a great treat after a day exploring by car or on foot. A great place for a break in the Borders.
