Only (very small thing) is the uphill from the carpark, but we got over it.

The HOSTS!!! They were incredible! The property is also ideally located and very clean.

It’s on quite a steep hill, but that can’t be helped.

It’s only a few minutes walk from lake Windermere and the shops restaurants etc, and it has parking which is a bonus.

Nothing to dislike

Great place to stay just at the top of the main street Chris and Victoria are great host nothing is a problem for them and only a call away if needed The room was spotless the breakfast is just what’s needed to set you up for the day we only had the cooked breakfast but there was cereal and fruit and yoghurts if you wanted. We had a wonderful stay and will be going back .

Honestly, nothing!

The Hazeldene Guest House-with Free Offsite Health Club, is a great place to stay. It is so close to the centre of Windermere and for exploring further a field, with excellent transport links. Hazeldene guest House is very clean and has everything the hosts Chris & Victoria can think of to give guests an enjoyable stay. They go above and beyond .The breakfast was very yummy. Hazeldene has its own carpark, which is a bonus. We saved a fortune on parking.The room was lovely, clean and bright, with an en-suite. We would definitely stay again.

You stepped straight onto the road ,there was no path , but once you were used to it it was fine

I liked that it was close to the town of boweness and a short walk to the lake.our room was lovely clean & comfortable with a well stocked hospitality tray. The breakfast was really tasty with the choice of how you would like your eggs. Chris & Victoria were very accommodating & friendly . Would definitely stay again and recommend this property

Only downside of b &b was you would step straight onto the road as you step of the steps so you have to be careful but we are adults and know how to watch our step.

The owners were really friendly, couldn't do enough for you Husband let slip it was going to be my birthday on 4th August and that our anniversary was on the 1st when we got back to our room on the Friday and found a tray with bubbly and fruit and chica on the bed Breakfast was basic not these posh stuff the full English was lovely, done the way you would like it. They also cater for dietary needs as well but have to say in advance and also on the day They have off street parking as well so that is fab. All the shops and lake are just down the road about 5 to 10 min walk down the hill. Only down side to that is the walk back up Room was clean and tidy it had all the things you would need, iron and board fan for if you were hot teas ,coffees ,cups ,glasses Lovely fluffy towel . They also had bath house produces for when you wash your hands and have a shower. These are not cheap,cos I went and bought some for home.

Nothing at all would I change about our stay

We had an absolutely wonderful stay this weekend! Chris and Vicky were truly exceptional hosts — so kind, welcoming, and genuinely lovely people. The room was beautiful and the bed incredibly comfortable, making for a restful and cozy night’s sleep. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The location is fantastic, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Hosts were great - friendly, helpful, and even forwarded the toothbrush charger we left in our room. Good breakfast freshly cooked, with choice of cereals, fruit, and yoghurt. Short walk in to either bowness or windermere, and the parking was a life saver (there limited parking in bowness and windermere villages)
