Had two rooms at the back, which were very clean, with a pretty view and quiet. Rooms were also serviced daily during our stay which was a nice bonus. Great location with car parking facilities. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. We were served a cup of tea and homemade shortbread on arrival — the shortbread was absolutely delicious! I had originally booked Room 7 for two nights as a surprise for my partner’s 40th birthday, but we ended up booking an extra night in Room 12. When we checked into Room 7, there was a birthday card from the Hawksmoor team and a selection of little chocolates for my partner — such a thoughtful touch that made the trip feel even more special. The rooms themselves were spotless, each with a lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed. I especially loved the L’Occitane products provided in the rooms — they smelt divine. I’d definitely recommend booking Room 12, as the balcony offers a lovely view of the stream in the woodlands behind the guest house. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious — everything was spot on, especially the fried bread! Helen was serving breakfast each day of our stay, and she was brilliant. She has such a great sense of humour, and we really appreciated her genuine hospitality. She truly made us feel welcome and well looked after. Thank you, Helen, and thank you to the rest of the team for such a wonderful stay!

Lovely warm welcome from host Pamela who allowed us to check in early and provided tea and shortbread for us on the house after arrival. Breakfast was excellent, varied options and all local ingredients. Highly recommend

The shower was hand held but managable!

The breakfast was superb. Porridge on the menu, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, and a great cooked breakfast. Lots of parking. Very friendly staff. Great location between Windermere Town and Bowness.

Guest house was Wonderful !!!

When we arrived Pamela met us and made us a pot of tea and homemade shortbread She was kind, friendly helpful and went the extra mile . An asset to the guest house. The room was clean, comfortable and had plenty of space. It was my husbands retirement and the owner had left us a bottle of wine and chocolates. So kind. There were plenty of towels. Two towels had been made into swans on the bed and were sprinkled in rose petals. It was lovely. Breakfast was 10 out of 10. The cook was very good. Plenty of free parking.

Just stayed for a couple of nights, The owner Pamela was so welcoming and the location was close to all amenities short walk to lake Windermere , our room was very clean to a high standard beautiful breakfast was cooked to our liking from a menu plenty of choices and fresh coffee jwe could have as much as we wanted fresh fruit 🍑 yoghurt, etc just amazing service,very attentive couldn't have asked for anything better definitely recommend Hawskmoor and will definitely be back
