The restaurant offering was rather uninspiring, but fortunately the excellent Rishi's Indian restaurant was only a couple of minutes' walk away. There were no biscuits on the hospitality tray, which was a bit disappointing.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable and clean. It was nice to have a plug socket next to a mirror, at which you could sit to use the (proper) hairdryer provided - a level of luxury not often experienced in hotel rooms. The shower was excellent, with controls at the side that meant it was possible to turn the shower on without first getting under it and being blasted with cold water. The bathroom mirror did not mist up while using the shower. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice. The bar area was comfortable and attractive.

- the breakfast was basic with no vegetables options and no variation during our stay and coffee was just colored water, avoid it - the beds were big but very noisy as I presume are old with springs, so every move during the night will wake you up.

- parking, even so after 5-6pm is almost full. - staff was helpful

Incredible value for money, I've paid far more elsewhere for much less! The staff were friendly and efficient, the room well presented, well equipped, and clean. Excellent choices for breakfast too. I Will be back

The breakfast over cooked, dried out, not very warm buffet style not enough choice, the aforementioned fan issue, the lack of milk left for tea and coffee.

room very comfortable although stiflingly hot as someone had turned the radiators on high, fan by the bed could not be moved due to the bedside tables wedged there and not ideal directly by one persons head, would be better on the desk where it could oscillate freely. Although not fully the windows did at least open.

The beds were not amazing, probably springs bed, which made lots of noise. The parking is not at hotel but 200 m walk away. The breakfast choice would be good but after 9am, nearly nothing left and we had to ask for refill of eggs, juice, pain choco. Nearly all toppings for waffles were empty.

Not getting offered a reduced rate for a downgraded room.

I arrived late on a Friday night and was told my room had been downgraded. The staff were apologetic and offered me a drink in the bar. The breakfast was very nice. The room, gym and bar were all very clean!

I felt uncomfortable and the person upstairs was making a racket and I couldn’t sleep and people banging doors in middle of night. I struggle with that sort of noises and makes my aniexty sometimes worse

Poor execution of celebration package and very poor contents Hardly call a 6inch victoria sponge a children's birthday cake, had to quickly go shop for 1 after disappointed look on face £35 for 2 banners, 6 balloons and smallest cake not acceptable, also set up was a disaster
