This is not my first stay at this hotel, and it’s always a pleasure to come back. The location is perfect — right at the foot of the mountains, offering such a peaceful setting. The hotel itself is beautiful, very well maintained, and always spotlessly clean. Gordon is a wonderful host who goes out of his way to ensure every guest feels comfortable and well looked after.

Every body I met was very friendly, it was clean, the food was delicious and well cooked, it was quiet at all times. As a single female staying alone, I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable being there.

Very lovely little place, it’s great value for money. Gordon is a nice fella who runs it and makes you feel very welcome. Breakfast is great, good produce food. It’s very old the building so don’t be expecting something of your stay that’s it’s not gonna be. Booked here to do a hike which is literally 2 mins away from hotel couldn’t be any better suited, amazing location. Overall lovely little weekend away and would definitely stay again. Our room didn’t have a tv which is the only thing I’d say that does need addressing but wasn’t an issue for me and my mate but for others probably.

A warm welcome from Gordon and Michelle from the moment you arrive, great hosts. The rooms are cozy with super comfy beds, didn't have the pleasure of sampling the restaurant but the breakfast was stunning with quality fresh produce 👌. I WILL BE BACK

Everything was fine. A bit expensive but it's isolated from most place's so that fine.

Gordon the owner was a really friendly guy, & the evening meal & breakfast were the best we've had whilst walking the Cambrian way trail 👣. The hotel has a lot of History and old charm . The room we had was really cosy with 2 comfortable chairs to sit on. The bed was very comfortable. Initially I couldn't get the radio to tune properly but once tuned in it was nice just chilling with radio on .No T.V but we new that before arriving & that's not a problem for us. The room was comfortable but decor is dated - not a problem for me, but others might be disappointed.

Fantastic dinner, and breakfast was very good too. A very traditional country hotel, loads of character. Mind your head!

Food excellent - breakfast and dinner. Location perfect for us, indeed the reason for the choice, because it lies just yards from the start of the wonderful Minffordd route up Cadair Idris. For walkers it's ideal.

Very nice b&b Gordon was a very nice host if you intend on visiting cadair Idris and want a great location this is an ideal place as the b&b was situated at the foot of cadair Idris food was nice aswell.
