A little maintenance in the bathroom would make this place perfect.

Attractive old building with modern style. Good kitchen, living room and bedroom facilities.

This place was not very clean! Dust, flies and bugs building up in the window sill. The living area is freezing and the only heat is from a log fire. They actually have a jar out suggesting that you leave tips towards firewood, but at £400 for 2 nights and with no other heating option, this should be included! The shower had no water pressure and the hot water would run out of you did more than 4 dishes. Not great value for money.

Beds/ bedrooms were comfortable and well heated. Good supply of books and boardgames

Pros and Cons for a very Cute Cottage

No heating in the sitting area, except for an open log fire, which didn't suit us, being far too dangerous with us out a lot during the day. Also, being on holiday, we didn't want to spend time cleaning out and resetting the fire. (Note to other visitors: first firewood bundle free, then each subsequent one another 10 pounds). We live in Australia and wanting to organise a minor date change for the booking, paid upfront for in February, for this June booking, it was not only difficult to contact the Cottage Property Managers, situated in Leeds, England, but they were also extremely difficult to deal with. Without paying more for another night, it was near impossible, so we gave up and arrived the day earlier (Wednesday) which meant we needed to find alternative accommodation and pack up and leave for the final Saturday night.

Quaint old cottage, excellent wi-fi. Had a nice deck area, heaters in the bedrooms and comfy beds.

The place has lots of dust, cobwebs, soot on the walls and ceiling, spiders, and a stained and very worn couch.

Leaving, that is what I liked.
