The sofa bed is not a real sofa bed but one sleeps on top of the sofa by putting the sheets on it. It would be correct to specify this in the descriptions. Blackout curtains are in the living room and kitchen but not in the bedroom. In June, until 10 pm and from 5 am there is full light in the room. The mattress is completely unmade and therefore incredibly uncomfortable. These factors made it impossible to have a decent quality of sleep and unfortunately affected our holiday and they are the reasons why, unfortunately, we would not choose this apartment again or recommend it unless they change. Pity because otherwise it’s really really lovely.

The location is amazing: such a central yet quiet apartment! Everything is in walking distance (even a minimarket at the corner of the road). The hosts are super nice and available, they even let us in earlier than check in time! Perfect cleanliness. Apartment equipped with really everything one might need, and everything perfectly working. There is a book with clear instructions about everything one needs to know.

#1 Parking: we had a compact rental & the folding poles in the garage really made it difficult to get into a space--& we lived in Europe 12 years. #2: only 1 set of keys provided. Given the external gate access, we could not separate. Recommend offering 2 sets.

We like the location and the size of the appartement wich was really convenient for 4 people. Everything we needed was available (towels soap shampooing linen hair dryer). The kitchen was also very practical.

The parking was a bit hairy, in that everything about it was rather narrow, but it was OK in the end!

The only issues, we’re that the beds were a bit hard, the sink tap in the kitchen was loose and the car park was difficult to access because of the tight road and spaces. The shower a little slow but it was hot, and the tv channel selection wasn’t great, but we were out most of the time so it didn’t matter too much. These are minor issues though compared to the location, price and service from the team.

Location is great! Right near the old town. Check in seamless and information provided by host clear and helpful. Though not a modern or flashy place, it is clean. Simple but does the job as a good base for exploring Edinburgh. Very close to pubs and restaurants, as well as the Castle.

Furnishings were adequate but very low end worn ikea. Bed was platform with what seemed like a futon mattress with no box spring...not great. We felt that we overpaid for the quality of the accomodations, furnishings. That said, the excellent location made the value acceptable. The apartments get noisy with revelers at night but that's the cost of being in the heart of the action.

A lot of glitches - wifi was down for 2 days, the beds were so so, the shower drain was clogged, the soap for the washing machine was missing. The power went out for like 15 minutes and so the water heater needed to be reset but we weren’t told to do that or how. The guest book could have been more detailed.

The carpet in the living room was filthy, as well as some of the walls. For that kind of price you'd expect something cleaner.

Its definitely well situated, and waking up with a direct view of the castle walls is nice. Also, the hosts were nice enough to let us move in early to drop our luggage.
