Lovely welcome from the owners, beautiful house. Bedroom spacious - nice little extras in the room. Comfy bed, bathroom a little dated however it was spotless and no issues. no complaints. Breakfast superb. Library of books, games etc - plenty to choose from. Highly recommend staying here - would definitely return.

Everything was great

Great location in beautiful town of Ballater. Hosts were exceptionally welcoming and informative. Breakfast was delightful along with the conversations with other guests. Rooms were generous and comfortable.

This very cozy B&B is well-maintained with friendly owners. The third (real) bed was appreciated by our adult daughter. Breakfast was delicious. There were lots of books and games for rainy days. Parking was close and free. Would definitely book again.

Beth is very friendly, she told us alll about the area and recommended places to eat and drink.Breakfast was great 😃 Location is just perfect, parking outside. Beautiful place to visit.

The hosts had informed us prior to arrival that the hotel underneath our room always have a band on a Friday night. We were a bit concerned re this however we found it was not a problem for us. Maybe due to double/triple glazing.

Our hosts Steve & Beth were helpful with hints on where to dine, where to travel next day etc. Steve made the best GF porridge I have ever had. Thank you Steve!!Thankfully he shared a few cooking tips with me.The room was spacious, warm and the hosts were generous with bathroom toiletries, tea/coffee/nibbles. The room had a nice view over the township

That we hadn't booked in for longer!

This is the place to stay in the area. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we we treated so well. Beth is a fantastic hostess who couldn't do enough for us. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing, so much choice and locally sourced ingredients, cannot be faulted! The location is superb as we went to visit Balmoral. Beth kindly offered us a piece of her mother in law's lemon cake. If you visit make sure you ask for a piece, it is exquisite!

Both Beth and Simon go above and beyond to make you feel at home. They were kind and helpful and always happy to chat or offer tips and advice on the local area. They clearly love and respect the nature the live amongst and are doing all they can to be eco-friendly and thoughtful about how they work as a business. So brilliant to see and be able to support!

Very comfortable bed and convenient central location in Ballater with parking close by. A great base for exploring the area and for hill walking nearby, especially recommend Glen Muick and Lochnagar. Beautiful area.

There wasn’t anything we disliked.

Everything. From the moment we arrived, Beth and Steven were lovely, welcoming hosts. It was really nice to stay somewhere where the hosts took pride in their guest house, and really seemed to care about their guests. Our room was a good size for us as a couple, the bed was nice and big, and the room was quiet - no street noise despite overlooking the town. Breakfast was absolutely amazing—so much care and effort was put into it by the hosts to accommodate guests. Cooked fresh, it was just what we needed to kickstart our days in Ballater and Aberdeenshire. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely love to return!

The hosts are amazing people. They were extremely kind, careful and helpful. The house is beautiful, cozy, and the room large and confortable with gorgeous view of the mountain. The breakfast was excellent and generous, with lot of vegan / gluten-free items.

The only limitation is the stairs - but intending guests are well warned about this beforehand. It didn't trouble us at all.
