Me and my best friend absolutely loved this place, it was so peaceful and secluded you couldn't ask for more! The hot tub was absolutely lovely and the bed was so comfortable. Highly recommend. Will be returning :)

Little gem of a place. Quaint and quirky. Location ideal for a little get away. Everything you could ask for in the shepherds hut. The hot tub was to die for. Will definitely return.

Tea, coffee and milk were provided, however no sugar. That's about as bad as it gets, everything else was perfect!

Had a wonderful time for my husbands birthday. We only stayed 1 night, I wish I could have booked for longer. Can't rate this place high enough, so peaceful and a real escape from busy life. Facilities were fantastic, hot tub was amazing, and sheep as neighbours was bonus. There was no one else around, just us. I will definitely be booking again!

Perfect, quiet, romantic getaway! Cosy and very clean. So well equipped inside. Snuggly bed, easy to use fire (warms the hut quickly and well), very efficient oven and fridge. Lots of warm water for showers and a great TV with so many channels. Hot tub was perfect, keeps the heat and easy to use. So wonderful for star gazing and listening to the owls, foxes and gentle baaing of the neighbourhood sheep! Lovely chiminea for relaxing next to after your dip too! We left feeling so relaxed and wishing we could stay a week!!!

The only thing that makes this a high 9.something rather than a full 10 is how remote it is. Which you can argue adds to the charm and why we liked it on the other hand. Would be great if it had a pub or corner shop relatively near within walking distance. But this really is a minor minor point.

We would have benefited from more advice on how long it would take to get the log burning hot tub hot. We ended up not enjoying it fully because the water wasn't hot enough even after a couple of hours of heating. I would advise to light it as soon as you get there! It might heat up quicker in the warmer months though but we visited in November. Also it's a shame they are building a second hut right next to this one which will take away from the privacy, however this didn't affect our stay this time because nobody was there.

The hut was beautiful! It was cosy, well equipped and furnished, clean, peaceful and private. We had a lovely stay and want to book to come back soon. Staff were responsive and accommodating when we woke up late and couldn't check out on time.

How close the new Shepard's hut being built is to the existing Shepard's hut.

Everything about Goodwin farm was perfect. The hut itself is well laid out with everything provided you could need for your stay. The location is fantastic with amazing views, made even better when sat in the hot tub! We felt very relaxed and secluded during our stay.

We have just had the best weekend at Goodwin Farm as a surprise birthday present for my partner, and I cannot recommend it enough. The hut was beautiful and well equipped - I was a bit worried about the bed area feeling confined, but it was honestly just lovely and cosy. There was plenty of wood to help us get the hot tub going on the first night which was really appreciated - extra wood/kindling/firefighters were also available to purchase close to the hut which was very convenient. The setting is absolutely stunning, really quiet and secluded - I saw other reviews mentioning a second hut being built, which there is, but I honestly don’t think this would ruin the experience as the area itself is so secluded and there was privacy fencing etc. The owner was very attentive and replied quickly to messages which was great. We met the friendly Ram, too!

The property was spacious, clean and just amazing. Everything was clean and ready for us to arrive. Couldn’t have asked for anymore and the hosts replied to every message that I had sent. Me and my partner shall be revisiting this amazing place place.

Overall our stay was amazing. Only negative comment is that they're building another hut. I can understand from a business purpose, but two huts so close together will spoil the privacy in my opinion in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hut was secluded, clean, romantic, and surprisingly spacious. The views from the hot tub were lovely and there is friendly Ram that came to visit us. Overall, we had a lovely stay and could have easily booked 3 or 4 nights.

I was sad to see a second hut being built right next to the one we were staying in. This has put us off rebooking as the main appeal was its solitude. Hot tube had an oily film on top of the water so didn’t use it. On the Friday night we could hear music from a local pub/bar but understand this is out of your control. It wasn’t that loud, just broke the silence.

Very clean and I have OCD. Lovely and quiet. Didn’t see any staff which was nice. Comfortable. Had everything we needed. Beautifully situated, scenery was lovely from the orchard to the sheep in the field next to us.

Nothing we didn’t like but a tip for the hot tub! Make sure you get that first fire right or you will need to buy some more fire materials but that was readily available for us!

Stunning scenery, very comfortable, relaxing, loved that it was just us and was so peaceful, the ram in the field opposite was so friendly and gave us a good welcome!

No dislikes at all, absolutely perfect!

Beautiful, clean, peaceful! Had everything we needed! The hot tub was by far our favourite thing, heated up really quickly. We took tea, coffee and milk with us but none of it was needed. The hut also has everything you need to cook a meal. Everything was immaculately clean too. Shower was great and bathroom even had small toiletries to use if we needed them, and they supplied towels. I booked the shepherds hut because it looked so lovely, but it exceeded our expectations! Will definitely be rebooking! Host replied to any questions pretty much immediately too. Highly recommend!
