Room lacked sockets in convenient places

Breakfast choice was good, bedroom comfortable. Very quiet but that could have been due to Golf Club being closed for maintenance. Convenient location for our plans on this occasion.

The family and staff were great. The food was excellent. The accommodation was very good. The location was fantastic, quiet, within easy reach of the centre and set in grounds which were well maintained. Really enjoyed our stay

Room probably needs updating but was still comfortable and clean.

Breakfast and evening meal were very good. Well cooked and presented. All staff were friendly and helpful.

The rooms as others have mentioned do need an overhaul to modernise and make them look generally a bit better. Things such as stripping down the paint on the window closing mechanisms as some windows were really hard to close as they had just had layers of paint added etc. Rooms were fine for a couple of nights but if they updated them to match the public areas to the same standard as Reception, Bar, Restaurant etc then this review would have had nothing in this section at all!

The staff were absolutely brilliant, friendly, funny and sorted anything we needed with no fuss as well as joking along with us on running jokes over the course of our stay. The Breakfast was good with a decent selection with something for everyone from toast and cereal, to pastries and cooked breakfast etc all very tasty. The evening meals were very enjoyable although the menu is not that large the food seemed prepared to order and everything we all had was very nice and was priced appropriately. Nice location if you are playing golf at Woodhall Spa Golf Club and also close to the high street shops The public areas are excellent and you can see they accommodate corporate days.

Needs updating as our window had gaps so would be cold in winter. Bathrooms really small with big step in bath that could be a problem for some

The shower was old and not very functional for the price of the room although we eventually got some hot water and got wet.

The location was perfect for our visit to the Queen show at Jubilee park and breakfast was plentiful and pleasant.

really nice hotel in a beautiful part of the country.My wife and I were made to feel very welcome from checking in to checking out.All the staff at this hotel were very freindly which made our stay even better thankyou very much,if you want a fantastic value for money hotel The Golf Hotel is the place to book highly recommend

The windows in our room and bathroom are in need of refurbishment.

The breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and good quality. Our room was of a good size with a nice view over the front garden. The bed was large and comfortable. However the room would benefit from a bit of a refurb.

If i had to find fault would be hand rail to get in and out of the Bath. nothing major

The hotel is being refurbished, okay some areas carpet tired etc but clean. Bedroom big and plenty of storage. Breakfast good and for price very good.loads of parking. Central location.

Receptionist (may have been owner) being very sharp/snappy. . . decoration of rooms,worn carpets,damp on walls ,paint coming away. Bathroom outdated

The lady on reception was abit snappy to start off with as we turned up about 30 mins early and she basically turned us away.even though I said we were going to to early and we were told they would accommodate us. . Hallway to bedrooms outdated, bedroom need updating/modernising. Bar/dining room lovely decorated. Friendly bar staff/waiting staff. Lovely food,good portions.

Really hot weekend, no Aircon or fans. A number of the windows were painted shut so very little breeze.

Rooms and bathrooms are a little tired and dated, although price reflects that, so good value. Has so much potential as beautiful building with lots of outside space would lend itself to have steam/Sauna/pool/gym.

Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, at check in, breakfast and bar and event housekeeping. Location to Woodhall Spa Golf Course ideal. Walking distance to a selection of little restaurants, pubs, tea rooms, butcher, barbers, Deli, boutique shops, gun shop, pet shop, co op, Sainsburys. So perfect for a 3-4days stay to play golf.

Shower too small and shower head was difficult to stabilise. Equally the bathroom was cramped. The general decor of room and corridors is dated and looks dark and old

The room was fine (good size), clean and functional. Clean and new towels. Breakfast was very good - plenty of choice and some healthy food. Service and decor in dining area was very good. Ample parking
