I didn't like the mattress, it felt it's use by date had long expired.

The home I stayed in is a large family home from the early nineteenth century, it was very quiet and pleasant. The host was very hospitable and did everything to make you feel at home.

It would have been better if each room had an individual fridge. We had to keep food and drinks in our room because one of the other guest had filled the fridge with sandwiches. The WiFi also wasn't working and so the reception was poor, meaning we had to keep going outside to make phone calls.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location. The room was very vintage and fitting with the overall theme of the rest of the house. The view from the room and gardens was beautiful and the breakfast was excellent

The only thing I think would be a good idea is to have a small fridge either in the room or on landing for quest to use for milk, drinks etc. we had to put in sink with cold water but it didn’t stay cold. Also not quite enough room on the dressing table as the big tv was on there plus the kettle and it made it quite tight and not enough room. The tv should be put on the wall so the dressing table can be used to do make up and hair. Also cannot walk into Chester as it’s too far down need to book a taxi.

The property was lovely and in a nice setting. Very clean and maintained. Lovely comfortable bed. Rooms cleaned everyday. Nice breakfast.

    Nothing to put in here!

Such a beautiful property, location and fabulous hosts. Our room had a corner view from two large windows showcasing the outstanding gardens and surrounding countryside. Breakfast was a lovely spread of cereals, fruit and whatever you wanted cooked. Highly recommend this stunning B&B so close to Chester.

We had a bathroom next to our room rather than an en-suite which was fine if a little compact. We were offered an upgrade but at extra cost so declined. All worked fine but shower over bath with screens was a little tight for space.

Lovely location and grounds with easy access with a car. Lovely property, breakfast, host and facilities. Everything we needed. All very good.

    Nothing

Loved everything about this B&B, the decor, character was beautiful. The room was lovely, we had a 4 poster bed and slept like a baby, excellent. The views from the room were picturesque, and felt you were miles from anywhere, but indeed you were not, just 2 miles away was a beautiful bar/ restaurant. We had a meal and it was superb, could not fault it. Breakfast was so lovely, we were the only ones in the dining room. The open fire was blazing and so welcoming. Looking out there was a lovely water fountain, just finished the picture beautifully. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Plenty to eat with also cereal and fruit. We could not fault anything and will definitely be back Host Jsne is very friendly and nice 😊

There was nothing I didn't like

The location is ideal for a short travel into Chester and Liverpool is just over half an hour away. The whole property was exceptionally clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept. Breakfast was very good. The host was very welcoming and took alot of pride in her work. I would definitely recommend a stay here to anyone and will be returning.

Nothing! However, it would be helpful if the guest parking area was better signposted.

The room was very comfortable. The venue is an old manor house in the Cheshire countryside. The views from the breakfast room and bedroom were lovely. We enjoyed a great breakfast each morning as well.
