A few 'facts' to know before booking: • There are blade but don't block the sun coming in at all • The bed is not extra-Lage double bed as stated in description at all. The sleeping area is about 140cm wide only (they use big bed frame and cover all bed with duvet on photos so it looks big...) • The public facilities (pool/sauna, gym, tennis court) need to be booked online in advance otherwise you cannot use it at all. Pool only allows 16 person (sauce max. 4) at a time.

Except from the "notes" mentioned in dislike part,, the location super, and environment is good and friendly for kids! The service is okay. There's one small playground nearby tennis court, although the garden is private but there's no guardian for externals to come in at all, we encountered many tourists walked in and around in the park/garden. Apartment room is relatively old, both trash bins in living room and bathroom are half broken (foot padel not working/broke). However you get everything you need for a short stay, and it's maintained clean as well :) In general I'll rate it as not worth of the money (considering about 450 euro per night here)

We could only book the pool for 1 hour which was a shame. And the bedroom could use better shades.

    Everything

TV very small and not working properly when we arrived but fixed the next day. Very small lounge area with no windows.

Great location. Flat had everything we needed. Lovely grounds and swimming pool

Bathroom on ground level but bedroom up two flights of stairs. Sloping ceiling in bedroom was very awkward. Generally in need of updating. No fan in bathroom. Water pressure too high and heating temperamental.

    Good location

Although the apartment was very well situated within the grounds and was the perfect size for our stay, as well as being well furnished, we did find the decor a little 'tired' looking in places. We also found that some of the kitchen equipment could benefit from being replaced, such as the teaspoons, which had metal coating flaking on the handles - as a result, we were reluctant to use to stir our tea or coffee with them and we also noted, although we never used it, that the toaster had a broken knob. That said, we do understand that a degree of wear and tear is to be expected and, to be fair, our stay was pretty much at the end of the season.

The location of the property was perfect. Lovely setting and very impressive building. We found the staff to be very friendly, welcoming and helpful and the facilities available were an added bonus.

There was nothing that we did not like.

This property is truly amazing. The character and history in itself would make this a must accommodation for anyone visiting the town but when you add the location on the banks of Loch Ness and the short walk to the Locks/town centre, the magical facilities in the Club lounge and the swimming pool area, the whole experience is absolutely brilliant. Charles was a perfect and informative host. The apartment was large, well equipped and very clean. The value for money is staggering. We loved eating at The Boathouse Restaurant with its views up the loch.

Location was fantastic , right on the loch and walking distance from shops, pubs and a loch side restaurant . Lots of places to visit , the cable car up the mountain is a must also Uquart castle and Glenfinnon.
