How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewAbsolutely loved the campsite. Perfect location with the most stunning views. Our chalet (G2) was exceptional. Located right in front of the water and equipped with every single thing you could possibly need. More than enough room for 6 of us. We had our elderly parents with us (89 and 82 year old) and it was perfect for them. They didn’t want to leave. Peaceful, serene and very comfortable. Highly recommend. We can’t wait to go back.

Could not stay at a better place if you are travelling to Mull. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Possibly one of the best holiday stays we have had.We will be booking for 2weeks next summer as soon as we can.

There wasn’t anything o didn’t like. You could add to the description that the kitchen is full stocked with cutlery, dishes etc as we weren’t sure if it would be.

The pillows and duvet not the best quality so found going off to sleep difficult, however do understand they possibly use duvets and pillows that are washable which is understandable as washing and drying feather pillows and duvets possibly not that practical

Verified reviewWe absolutely loved our stay at Sheiling. The location by the sea was incredible and so relaxing. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had good quality cooking equipment, sharp knives, cafetiere and even a grater. It was so quiet and we loved how the glamping units weren't packed in too closely. The location was perfect to explore all of the sights of Mull. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Verified reviewCan highly recommend. Location perfect for views, and getting around Mull. Husband saw an otter swim past on our first morning! All spotlessly clean, kitchen area contained everything you would need to cater for yourselves. Comfortable, with plenty of room in all areas. Great shower too. We stayed 3 nights but would have happily stayed much longer - hopefully next time.

Verified reviewThe view from tent 3 is fantastic. I'm not sure about the seating arrangements. I ended up moving one of the sofas so we could sit facing out the window to enjoy the view. It was a bit of a wet weekend so it was really nice to sit and admire the view and watch the boats and ferries passing. There could be a solution there if the tv was moved into the corner but I'm sure the set up is best place to maximise the use of the space for everyone over the whole season. We will be back it was really enjoyable. A baby or travel cot option would have been nice and one or two usb sockets here and there.
