My wife and I have now stayed in both cottages at Burrow Farm and unfortunately this time I made the mistake of booking Gardeners Rest instead of Valley View. Although they are adjoining properties and both on the ground floor that's where the similarity ends In my opinion there is a danger in Gardeners Rest of being trapped in the bedroom should fire break out Even if you are slim enough to squeeze through the windows the protruding latches could obstruct you from doing so My advice is to read the reviews on Tripadvisor.

The internet access was quite patchy and slow, which may be inconvenient for those needing reliable connectivity.

The cottage was set in a stunning location, surrounded by beautiful gardens and offering breathtaking views. The accommodation was very comfortable and provided a relaxing atmosphere.

Shower pressure wasn't the best but still pretty good for a rural stay. Not clear how to put the heating on in the evenings, but we managed ok as the weather was good.

A wonderful place to stay if you have a dog. You have access to so much land to walk on, and the grounds are magnificent (open to the public but you have them to yourselves in the evenings). Cosy accommodation. Good footpaths nearby - easy to walk to nearby village of Dalwood which has a lovely pub serving great food.
