    N/A - we liked everything

The hosts Sam & Ian were super friendly and approachable and were always on hand to answer any questions. We stayed 3 nights with our dog and she loved it. We are a young couple in our mid 20's and we found the cottage to be super cosy and the vibe's were really cute! Loved the highland cow themed items and particularly loved the garden area and hot tub. Secure area for the dog was great too and having the field at the rear of the cottage. There can be a few wasps at the bush in the garden near to the hot tub during the day at this time of year but we placed a small dish of vinegar nearby us and this seemed to keep them away. Did not ruin our experience at all though, as this is just nature and would be the same anywhere! just a wee tip for anyone if they experience this :). Would recommend to anyone! Lots of lovely walks nearby and our dog particularly liked the water at Lochgoilhead and the Old Lachlan Castle. Inveraray is also close-by via the car and is a lovely town to visit. The hot tub was particularly beautiful at night when it got dark with all of the fairy lights! Thank you again for a lovely visit x

There was nothing we didn't like even the 24 hour storm just made us feel cosy and safe inside .........

The converted Byre was immaculate and beautifully decorated with lots of lovely and quirky touches 💕 it was a peaceful location just what we were looking for as a wee retreat from the business of life and work. The hot tub was located in privacy and our little dog could safely wander around for 45 minutes while we were in there each pm. Sam has thought of everything and we wouldn't add or take away a single thing. We feel relaxed after our week here and managed to visit many of the recommended places whilst not feeling rushed. The lochs and the views are outstanding and we had some really enjoyable drives to some really enjoyable walks. We hope to return with family as it sleeps 6 or 7. We would highly recommend Fyne Byre.

The only thing for us was that dogs were unable to potter in and out of the house into the garden without us being there because of the set up of the secure garden. We have to move the gate which was a minor inconvenience in the dark or when in the hot tub.

The photos don't do it justice, there are little decor surprises everywhere. The house is fully equipped with everything you need including games and logs for the woodburner. The hot tub was fab. The host came to see us on arrival and was able to answer any questions during our time there. The location was stunning and we explored lots of beautiful walks nearby. We took home beautiful painted oyster shells for a memory.

The only issue for us was the location (which was the reasons we booked it) which wasn’t an issue at all to be honest. The option was given before our arrival to get a home delivery of food and Sam was kind enough to offer to put it all away. We declined this option and opted to drive to the nearest Asda which was over an hour away. For someone who lives in a central location despite knowing how rural it was I still missed having supermarkets on my doorstep. The location is beautiful, plenty of walks to do and sights to see.

The property is absolutely stunning and homely the owners have done a very good job at making it as comfortable as possible and really like a home from home. With a car full taking the dog and the kids we could only take a few essentials. This wasn’t an issue however as the cottage has Sky tv and a fully stocked cupboard with board games to keep us all entertained.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Sam was a great host - warm, friendly and helpful. We loved the open plan living space and the home-from-home feel in this very well-equipped converted byre. The hot tub was a favourite across 3 generations of family (15-80), along with the wood burning stove. Every aspect of the byre had unique touches, so a lot of thought has gone into this creative space. It was the ideal location to explore an area of Scotland that boasts outstanding natural beauty. Also there were lovely gardens and scenic walks close by, as well as easy access to Loch Fyne for outdoor swimming, which some of our brave party enjoyed!

Even though the weather was our typical Scottish one, we had a variety of activities to do at home. Great to have Netflix and board games. The back garden was taken advantage of by the big boys who played kicky with the ball. When the weather was nice how stunning to sit outside and just look at the beautiful landscape. Breathtaking!

Beautiful barn conversion. Exquisitely decorated and with a lot of flair. You feel like in a grand hotel with spa, but are in a very homey environment. A great mix. Practical part: Absolutely everything you need is there to get you started and more. Comfortable and cozy bedrooms, very clean and a lot of attention to detail. If we had any requests, they were immediately resolved with a smile. You just felt right at home in an exotically isolated environment. What the family said: They loved this holiday at Fyne Byre. The little ones enjoyed the highlight of feeding the ducks and chickens and they really had so much fun looking at the tadpoles in the wee ponds in the garden. The big kids (14-20) took over the hot tub and felt like they were in a grand hotel while having a drink, taking pictures and posting them on Instagram. Sam gave us many suggestions on where to go and see and they were all a great success, be it hiking or walking to Old Lachan castle at the beach, for example. Overall a very memorable holiday for the family and I can only warmly recommend.

We loved the size of the property. It had everything you could want. Home from home. We stayed for 3 nights for my daughter’s 16th Birthday. We loved the hot tub and used it every night. Even with the wet weather that never spoiled our fun. Beds were really comfortable and the kitchen was kitted out with everything you could think off. Lots of board games, dvds and books to choose from. Sam the host was really helpful let us see her chickens and Barry the rooster. Property was pleasantly warm and beautiful.

Everything you need is at hand in the conversion, wifi was really good too. Barry the 🐓 and his girls are fun to see, had cuddles with hens and ducks, which i loved so thank you for letting us spend time with them..Scenic views, long nature walks, hills to climb the list is endless. Not a negative but possibly a wee gate on the front garden at the hot tub as our dog kept trying to wander off when we were in it! I would have preferred the hot tub in the back garden where the views were better and more private however that is a preference also and not a negative 😀didn’t affect our stay or using the hot tub

The barn was so cozy and comfy with every utensil/activity they could possibly provide. Good tv set up and wifi. Really a home away from home. The interior design in the barn is really welcoming, cozy and quirky and I really loved the space- for me this property is all about the inside!! The stars at night were amazing! Hot tub was ideal. Hosts were friendly and quick to respond (and rescue us!!) when we locked ourselves out! They even gave us a late check out which was amazing - although we didn’t want to leave 😊 thank you for our stay!!

the description of wheelchair access needs to be more detailed, as not suitable for an electric wheelchair or full-time wheelchair user. Fine if you have some mobility to access shower room and bedrooms.

the Location was lovely and ideal as close by to where my sister stays. However, I am a wheelchair user and it was not suitable for a wheelchair. it is cosy and comfortable, and well furnished with a lovely kitchen.
