The speed of service at the dinner meal. Only two service personnel for a nearly full restaurant is not enough.

Would have been more comfortable to have air con but that didn’t spoil the stay at all.

We combined a stay here with a visit to Paultons Park, which is only 30mins drive away. This is a lovely hotel - we had a deluxe family room which had separate double and twin bedrooms and a separate lounge area. Fans provided as no air con. Dyson hairdryer and lovely toiletries. Nice decor throughout that reflect the region. Large garden area with games and room for children to have fun.

It was particularly hot and stuffy overnight making it difficult to sleep. A modern, quiet fan would have been welcome.

Beautiful, grand and spacious hotel. Lovely grounds and well situated for the New Forest and Brokenhurst. Staff were attentive and friendly, particularly at breakfast. Room was clean with plenty of room for a family.

It was a hot spell and our top floor room faced the sun so stayed hot at night.

Excellent location in the New Forest close to nature and the wildlife. Breakfast and dinner were of a high standard. Staff were very helpful.

No air conditioning. Rooms supplied with a good electric fan but can get hot in a heat wave as windows have the usual opening restrictors.

Old building with modernised and comfortable bedrooms but has maintained its traditional charm. Beautiful rear garden surrounded with trees with lots of tables and chairs and an outside bar in good weather. Excellent breakfast with buffet Continental. Tea or coffee and full English all served to your table. Lovely friendly staff. Set in the forest with free roaming ponies.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Location excellent as New Forest walks were just over the road and there is a pleasant stroll into Brockenhurst centre. The room and facilities were very good, as were breakfast and staff

Shower difficult to operate.

A little bit dusty in the room and not every day room turn over. Only stayed two nights so might be there policy. Coffee pod machine didn’t work

Windows that opened more would have been better and air con would have been appreciated.

Garden area is lovely and plenty of parking space. We loved being able to walk over the road and go for walks of any length in the Forest and surrounding areas.

The room was overlooking the road, and it’s quite busy, but it did not stop me getting asleep.

Hotel is in a good location for exploring the New Forest. All the members of the staff were superb.The grounds were lovely and plenty of seats in the garden area.The room is good (De lux double). The dinner/breakfast is nice and it’s fills you up.
