How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Had a slight issue with the pull out bad but problem was resolved quickly and moved to another room
Location was great and the harvester being so close is perfect for a quick bit to eat

A compact breakfast serving area, so there was a bit of a crush when getting our food - the hotel did seem busy though - so perhaps we chose a popular time to eat
It was clean and plenty of light and the staff were friendly and helpful

The shower in the toilet. The floor is messed up after a shower as there's no bathtub and no guard against splashing water.

The coffee machine was not working at all. The food could have been prepared better.
The room was good but it was small for a family of 4.

Breakfast was very busy, the queues were quite long for getting the main breakfast items (eggs/bacon/sausages/etc)... it's buffet style, which is fine, but maybe thoughts on the layout could be slightly better. Also, at one point, someone from the next table mentioned that they had run out of plates, and people were actually waiting on them coming out.
Genuinely warm welcome at reception, and lovely fast book in. Room was airy, clean, had air conditioning, and bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was tasty... as I travelled solo, I was given a 'reserved' sign for my table, so when I went to get my food/drinks, no-one would sit at my table. Really helpful. One of the staff actually remembered me from my last visit to the hotel... which was some months earlier, and that was so lovely too. All the staff I spoke to, were really helpful, professional, and friendly.

Nice location, modern exterior and interior, bar stayed open till 1am with the option of pizza or toasties… breakfast was good with a good selection of cereals, pastries and hot food… would definitely recommend it!

Breakfast was chaotic. There wasn't plates, food/juice wasn't replaced quickly, coffee machine was broken. It was so busy had to wait 20-30mins for a table. Family room is small when sofa made into a bed. Very limited space to put clothes

Had to ask for forks at breakfast if I need to be picky that's all I can think of.
We stayed here as we were at an event on Campbell Park. It's so easy to get to off the motorway and just a half hour walk to the venue. Dan was on reception (as he was last year) and is just amazing. Always has a smile and nothing is too much trouble for him. Breakfast was plentiful and beds are comfy as ever.

Small things such as no biscuits with Tea and coffee in the rooms. Also no prices on snack bar by the reception - also very expensive.
Clean and tidy through the whole hotel. Rooms were cleaned properly every day with T and coffee replaced.

Just trying to work out the air conditioning also we didn't work out till the next day that the bedside lights fold down.we couldn't get one of them to go off so we had to take the card out.
Breakfast was fine, air conditioning was a bit noisy and although we turned it off when we went to bed it kept coming on, we obviously didn't know how to work it properly, tried turning the require temp. up. Bed was comfortable.
