The location was great, easy to find and had its own parking which was amazing! The host was nice enough and friendly. The room was decorated nicely and was clean and comfortable. It was close to the town centre so we didn't have to drive for food and entertainment. We slept really well after a fun night at the local pool hall.

The continental breakfast, although included in the price, wasn't good. When we went into the breakfast room there was barely anything left and the dirty plates were piled up on the side. There wasn't a clean cup to be found. We went elsewhere for breakfast. Also, the taps on the shower are back to front, you have to turn it towards cold to make it hot. Learning that the hard and freezing way wasn't great.

Location was 4 minutes from train station and 2 minutes for Tesco, coffee shop, restaurant and some take aways

Place was being decorated on arrival and during our stay. Door frame to room had wet paint. None of this was mentioned when booking. Went for breakfast to find it was unmanned, bread with no butter or clean knives, cereals with no milk or clean bowls, tea or coffee with no milk. Called guest house and advised someone would be informed so we left and bought breakfast elsewhere. All refurbishment is being done on extremely poor quality and will degrade rapidly.

First impressions of the motel was not impressive. Grass around motel unkept and weeds very overgrown. Check in was pathetic. We arrived 2 hours after check in time and room was not ready. We had to wait 90 minutes in order to check into room. We arrived 2 hours after check in time and still had to wait. A lame excuse was given for our room not being ready - an issue with the pipes and we were given the option to move to another room for 1 night even though we booked for 3 nights. We declined. We were told that reception tried to phone and explain the problem before, but no phone call was received. Upon walking down the corridor searching for the reception person, a bed and mattress was standing outside against the wall of the motel - This turned out to be our room. An opportunity was taken to make fools out of us, giving us a lame excuse of an issue with the pipes in the hopes that we will accept another room while a bed is being fixed 2 hours after scheduled check in time. No daily room cleaning service was done even though it was advertised. We had to ask for towels and toilet paper. Person at reception is not fluent in English making communication extremely difficult. The hot water in the shower was not consistent. It turned cold roughly every 3 minutes. There is no place to hang towels - no hooks in bathroom or room. No place to pack away clothing. The toilet seat was also broken.

Available, relatively inexpensive (but not cheap!).

Clean, ,comfortable bed

Reception staff very bad English Bedroom door lock very dodgy and loose Shower fitting not fitted properly to the wall, adjuster wouldn't work, couldn't lower the shower head. Toilet blocked on last morning Bathroom top window stuck wouldn't open properly or close, bedroom window wouldn't open, top lock was half broken, was fitted wrong way compared to other handle Breakfast was a joke, ,milk was off, receptionist brought some small longlife small portions like what is served in the room No water in the kettle Not worth the money

Room was a decent size. Repaint in progress so some big efforts to upgrade.

Great potential but majorly misses the mark. Walls a thin, no noise insulation. Breakfast supplied but no milk, dirty cutlery & crockery, needs water and a sink in the kitchenette/diner. WiFi but no internet connection. Outside is unkept and not welcoming.

Location easy for buses. Tesco and petrol station close. Room clean. Breakfast ok. Parking good. One staff member friendly

Shared bathroom between several rooms. No proper curtain. Sink hair line crack. Handles falling off window. Musky smell. After eating no washing up faacilities. Looked like a half way house. Garden unkempt and overgrown gave poor impression

Not very much (but was glad it had a kettle).

Smooth check in process host was very nice and polite showed us round and made sure we were happy before leaving us lovely decor very modern style in the cottage everything was nice and clean beds were comfy and tea coffee ect was fully stocked greta location for the train station and various cafes and shop nearby also complimentary breakfast provided but we didn't try this

Only thing was no soap in the bathroom for washing hands luckily we had hand sanitiser already with us couple of bits of wear and tear in shower area but to be expected as it's seems like an older building was quite cold couldn't figure out heating if there was any but this was our fault of not asking the host about it

The property has a fairly good location, reasonable price, close to Edinburgh, and offers private parking.

The rooms have everything you need, but cleaning is quite superficial. There was a smell of cigarette smoke, hair on the bedding, the toilet was not very clean, the cups were dirty, and it looked like no one had cleaned under the bed for a long time. We missed breakfast, and the receptionist did not ask if everything was okay – instead, he approached us in the parking lot to ask for a good review, which we cannot give due to the cleanliness and average service.

Foul, absolutely foul, black mound in the shower, poo stains in the toilet, rude owner who refused to give me my money back, toothpaste marks on the side, scum marks on the radiator, I was there an hour and left after finding another booking, currently in dispute with booking.com. I paid £468 for 4 nights, I left inside of an hour - nothing like the pictures, dirty and dangerous to your health! This place is disgusting and not habitable for humans!

Quiet area

Bed sheets were filthy and smelled bad. I wasn’t entirely certain they had been washed.
