The host communicated properly in advance my accommodation and was waiting for me. The room was very quiet. There is a large kitchen with all necessary equipment. The location is perfect - close to the Airport and the owner arranged for me a parking lot behind - very convenient. The bathroom was clean and very convenient as well - attached to the bedroom. I could relax very good.

Kitchen didn't appear to have any napkins/ paper towels. I had to make a call to get my key which cost me $12 as I didn't have cell service. I arrived around 6pm so not a strange time.

Sometimes the loud music from the pub downstairs would last until midnight. But it didn’t bother me too much bc I was very tired. Also it only happened for 2 nights out of my 6 nights stay. The door and the bed were a bit squeaky. Luckily my roommates were very nice and kept the noise at minimum.

It has everything you need such as towels, cookers, hair dryer etc. Transport is convenient to both Heriot-Watt University and city center. Several big supermarkets are within walking distance as well as a 24h convenient store. The kebab shop (Mr Shawarma) on the other side of the street is superb. The toilet and kitchen are quite clean and WiFi is good.

Perhaps having an ear plug dispenser for those guests who snore. Also there’s didn’t seem to be any normal instant coffee just decaf.

The staff were very supportive even though I had stayed for the weekend. I may consider a week stay on another journey. The hostel was located very close to shops and local transport.

The light in the room is a little bit dim.

The host is very friendly, and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is very nice, with plenty of space and a large window.

there are no lockers within the room and the plug sockets can be close or not to your bed, which can make it easier or not to charge your phone during the night, for example the beds don’t have a curtain or anything so not much privacy while you sleep

the owner was incredibly nice and helpful, he let me check in super late and allowed me to keep my bag during the day there in a locker it’s not centric but many buses take you to/from the centre both during day and night in about 20-30min the beds are big and very comfortable and the rooms spacious the bathroom is good, everything was clean, and the kitchen is big and well equipped

Noise from the neighbouring pub in the night for a small period of time.

The owner was very supportive with the booking modifications and late arrival schedule. The room was spacious, bathrooms were clean, bedding was good. The facilities were accessible. It was a comfortable stay.

It is above a pub so weekends will be noisy late into the night. It’s out of the way of everything in Edinburgh; more appropriate stay for events at the convention center by the airport. Was a bit confusing to find as it’s above a pub, upstairs, and around the back entry. If you find the pub pictured, you’re there!

Nice and clean kitchen area. Clean and new bed mattresses and comforters, very comfy! Love the bathroom in our shared hostel room, very clean and nice! They were putting brand new mattresses on the bunks when I was there; they care about the upkeep of the property.

I didn't like the man who managed the Hostel because in one morning coming in the room 3 times with no reason(we was just girls in the room) .After checking in around 11.30pm the same he come and wake me up for asking me if it's everything OK. Nobody from reception come in my room to asking me if I am OK in my entire life from when I start travelling. And I see that he didn't change the beds sheets after people leaving the room.This is very bad things!

No fault of the hostel, but the experience was ruined by a very disrespectful guest who was taking phone calls in the late night/early morning while others were trying to sleep.

The pillows could do with being replaced, and bunk bed privacy curtains would be nice. The green exit light above the door is too bright and goulish during the night. Luckily, the very busy pub below shuts the music off promptly at night, otherwise it would be difficult to relax.

A well kept space, nicely decorated and with great facilities. There's a modern kitchen with various work spaces to plug into, the wifi was strong, and there's a good-size wall mounted tv on the wall.The dorm room was light and spacious with a modern en-suite, and individual bedside sockets/USB ports.

Can’t think of any negatives.

It was a safe place to keep my things and room didn’t feel over crowded when full. Many bathrooms for use so that was really convenient! Many towels and bathmats available so I didn’t feel like I had to keep using the same ones/ I knew they’d always be clean.

The toilet could have been a little cleaner. Inside the bowl is cleaned but the surrounding area i.e. behind the seat was not cleaned the few days that I was there. But no biggy

Kitchen facilities were great! I was able to park my car off the street which was a bonus : ) Bus stop is very close to Edinburgh city centre. Rooms have ensuite which makes shower time easier.
