Breakfast only good for people who like standard English. Not much choices for allergy sufferes or vegans. Bathrooms very small and for shared bathrooms not much space to put your clothes and towel while you shower.

I had a single room with shared bathroom. Room size and equipment great, bed very comfortable. The ubication was good enough for foot walks to the centre and also busses nearby that have high frequency. Although fully booked, it was pretty quiet. Staff helpful and very friendly.

Loved the breakfast! The location was great and we had a view of Arthur's seat. It was very near the bus stop, just a 10 min walk. Lots of restaurants nearby, maybe 15-20 min walk away.

Literally only two channels on the TV! Also kept trying to get a blowdryer but none was ever available.

Great value! Room was small but I expected that since it's a dorm setting. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing. Location is also great. Easy to grab a bus for a short ride into central Edinburgh.

The shared bathroom situation: I didn’t mind this as such, but over the weekend the bathroom closest to my room got increasingly grubby, with dirty towels sitting uncollected.

Primarily the location, and the facilities and amenities on site were excellent for the price.

Rooms a little basic but nonetheless clean and comfortable.

Until I arrived I thought it seemed expensive for university accommodation. But the campus is lovely and very close to the city, the breakfast Buffet was brilliant and overnight parking was also thrown in. My tip is to use the Brassierie at the Scholar on campus for an evening meal. Prices were average but it was high quality, and there was a live pianist when we ate there.

Sound proofing is not enough. Students speaks in the corridor even midnight. Dining room at breakfast is so noisy, busy by many students.

I really enjoyed it. The outdoor space is pleasant, thanks to the gardens. The breakfast is very good, with a wide variety and well-organized layout. It's a 25-minute walk from the Old City, but it's a good walk. Good value.

Everything was perfect

My boyfriend and I had an excellent experience at the University of Edinmburgh. The facilities ate good value for money. The place is very quite at night, inside the bedroom or outside. The breakfast consists of a varied buffet, honestly it is has been the first time in my life we had so many options for breakfast for all sorts of diets (vegan, gluten free, flexitarian...). The staff was very welcoming and professional.
