AustraliaWe checked in late and looked online where it stated breakfast at this hotel was served until 10:30 but it actually stopped at 10 so we missed it the first day, this should be updated. Staff were very dismissive and not very friendly to be honest. When we tried to buy a coke and some crisps from the bar a staff member said they weren't trained to sell them to us and we had to wait for another member of staff to arrive? Staff were inconvieneced to stop talking to each other to answer my question regarding check out which on top of everything else made us feel unwelcome.
The hotel was in a nice location perfect for our stay with lots of nice bars and restaurants near by. The room was clean and had what we needed for our stay.

United KingdomOnly thing that spoilt was trying to enjoy a nice quiet drink last night when there was a group of 6/8 pre teens running around and making lots of noise, parents seemed to be sitting on next table but did nothing to stop or quieten down. Another couple seemed to moved tables because of this, slightly spoilt night

United KingdomCar parking was tight by the time we returned at 10pm, there were only a couple of spaces left. The room was rather hot and the air conditioning made very little difference, despite being noisy on anything other than the lowest setting. There were one or two maintenance issues, but nothing that, detracted from an overnight stay, might have been different for anything longer.
We chose this hotel as we were going to the Warner Bros Studio tour (Harry Potter) and for that it couldn't be better placed and reasonable cost for the area. The reception staff were excellent, cheerful, polite and helpful. The room was an adequate size for two adults and our twelve year old grandson; it would have accommodated four adults but a bit snug. The beds were comfortable and extra pillows were provided on request. There was a kettle and basic coffee/tea making facilities, as expected. Everywhere was clean and tidy.

Then a man who seemed like a maintenance man came in, said oh sorry then walked out. Didn't give any explanation as to what it was he wanted. Very annoying all this.

United Kingdom1. The staff were unprofessional when we first arrived preferring to maintain personal conversations despite the fact they knew that we were waiting to check-in. 2. One staff member in the cafe loudly argued with another. The same staff member also loudly vented her disagreement after a guest said that there was a dirty plate alongside the clean ones. The guest was right. 3. This isn't the fault of the hotel but Apsley train station doesn't have a lift. Therefore those with heavy suitcases might be better off staying in King's Langley or Watford.

The breakfast was pleasant with a decent array of options, including vegan and gluten free alternatives. 5. The hotel is in a quiet area despite only being two minutes from Apsley station. There is also a supermarket and a pub nearby.
