Loved the friendly welcome, and the ambience (all the cosy small lounges downstairs and the traditional English style), and the high standard of the rooms - since our last stay the soft furnishings in our room had been renewed. All in all the hotel looked fabulous.

Quite warm in room at night and fan didn’t make much difference, but not a major issue on mild summer days.

Old school English decor and great hospitality. Excellent location in Marylebone.

Location in the middle of London. The history and the feeling of belonging to it, at least for a few days. I like the 130+ years old invoice in the lobby

Durrants is a very traditional hotel with modern amenities like aircon, in an elegant Georgian townhouse building in the very smart and characterful south Marylebone neighbourhood. Very comfortable rooms and helpful staff, and several cosy lounges/sitting rooms with a small bar

Rooms a bit small for two. Mine smelt strongly of stale cigarettes and although I told staff several times nothing was done. Restaurant was mostly empty and a bit highly priced given all the choice in the area.

The location is the best thing. Good for a solo traveller. Well staffed, has a bar and restaurant. Several comfy nooks to sit in. Can leave bags with doorman. Quiet room facing courtyard so no street noise.

There was no AC in the room. The hot water faucet didn’t work. The showerhead was basically just a strong jet of water.

The hotel is decorated with love. Very pretty interior. The location was perfect for us.

    Nothing.

Very elegant hotel in traditional style, well situated close to Marylebone High Street. Lots of restaurants and boutiques in easy walking distance. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They provided a change of room late in the evening when the first room was much too warm for us (on one of the hottest days of the year).

I was in Room 105 which was a double, but in my opinion it was too small for that. There was insufficient drawer space for one, let alone 2 and the bathroom, although newly equipped, was cramped. The restaurant was excellent but expensive. I went there for dinner on one night, but otherwise I ate out. Bar is cosy and friendly and reception space is good

I love the hotel, the quintessential British atmosphere, the location, the breakfast.

The breakfast was included in my room rate, but they recently slightly changed the menu and some options are now available only with extra payment, which I found a bit confusing (I had to pay an extra at the end because one morning I've ordered a slightly different omelette than the one listed in the menu...). Also, the service this year was slower and a little bit less efficient than usual.

I am a regular at this hotel when I am in London for business: I love the quintessentially British atmosphere, the breakfast room, the bar, and the location in Marylebone (lively, central but a little far from the more congested areas of the city center). I always use the single room, which is tiny but comfortable and well equipped.

Great location for exploring London, historic hotel but needs a bit of upgrading.

Arrived on a really hot day and was put in a roof space room that had a broken air conditioning unit, there was a fan in the room however room was not habitable given the heat, was then told the hotel was full. Ended up paying an upgrade to a suite just to be able to have a room that was a reasonable temperature. Don't think it is acceptable to put customers in rooms with no air conditioning especially if they are roof space. Bathroom in the suite was very small and needed some upgrading. Breakfast choices were lacking and everything was an extra which given the overall price of the room, I don't think was acceptable.

Location was excellent, with easy access to train/tube and walking distance into Soho, etc. Liked the history of the hotel too.
