No Northern Lights! They weren't promised, of course, but we live in hope. Honestly, we couldn't fault the place, it really is an Escape!

Lovely hosts, fantastic location, a luxurious suite with kitchenette, spacious en suite shower room and a gorgeous free-standing bath with a sea view my wife would happily have stayed in! And remote controlled window blinds to aid restful sleep. We had the foresight to book 2 nights here, but could easily have stayed longer. It provided the perfect pitstop halfway round our NC500 experience. Our hosts provide a comprehensive breakfast menu which sets you up for the whole day. They kept my caffeine addiction going with a welcome resupply when I made a dent in the original number of pods... We slept like logs and breakfasted like royalty. The almost deserted Dunnet Beach - visible from the room - is only a few minutes walk away, enormous, and provides the ideal opportunity to burn off some of your breakfast before heading into the local area to see distilleries, Dunnet Head, Castle of Mey and John O'Groats to name a very few. We'd come back in a heartbeat.

Our stay at Sheila and John's B&B was magical and we highly recommend staying there. B&B escapes really lives up to its name as we genuinely escaped time there. Sheila and John are wonderful hosts and take great care in making their guests feel comfortable. We tasted a different breakfast each morning and each of them were delicious. The views around the B&B are beautiful and you are just one walk away from the beach.

Dunnet Bay Escapes is in a stunning location. We were in Bay Suite which overlooked Dunnet Bay. The suite was large, bright and extremely comfortable. Sheila and John were brilliant hosts and made us feel very welcome in their beautiful home. Breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. We loved our hot tub evening and the delicious cocktails.

We stayed in the Bay Suite. It was exactly what we needed after a long day of sightseeing. It really is a 5 star accommodation, it's beautifully decorated and so comfortable. It was my favourite accomodation on the NC500 tour by far. We had an incredible view of the field and sea while the bed, bathroom, kitchette and breakfast helped us recharge our batteries. John and Sheila were terrific hosts. I was sad that we only booked one night and had to leave to be honest! I thoroughly recommend staying here on your NC500 tour.

An exceptional find. The room, service, food, location, view and hosts were outstanding. And what a treat to have breakfast served in our room. John and Sheila went out of their way to welcome us to their B&B and to provide information on the local area. It is a fabulous location to explore both the East and West coastline... and to see the puffins and other birds. We stayed in The Bay Suite and had an amazing view of Dunnet Bay... from both the bath and bed! Although we didn't use it, there is a hot tub available for guests... what a treat! We will be back...

Staying at Dunnet B&B Scapes was one of the highlights of my trip to Scotland. The room had stunning views and was beautifully decorated with thoughtful details throughout. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, making it easy to relax and unwind. Breakfast was delicious and generous, with plenty of fresh, local ingredients to start the day right. All this came at a very good price, making the stay even better value. I highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, charm, and great hospitality in the Scottish Highlands.
