It is an exceptional hotel. The location is great (10 min walk to the pier and city center), the view is breathtaking - Kerrara island, Isle of Mull, Oban view, the hotel is beautifully decorated and very cozy. The room (suite) was big, clean and beautiful. The breakfast was tasty with big choice. A special thank you to Declan for his cocktails and nice stories about the region. We will come back!

Stairs but it is an old colonial house, so it is to be expected.

Great location, great views over Oban, lovely comfortable surroundings, library chairs were great, good selection of books, nice quiet place to relax. Shower was great. Kim was excellent, helped us with our bags up some quite steep stairs to our room, very professional. Decklen (hope the spelling is right 🤦‍♀️) the barman was great, gave us a good recommendation for tea, he had just the right amount of interaction, when to engage with us and when to leave us on our own. Recommend and will stay again.

This place is magical! The view from the garden is absolutely wonderful, making it super nice to sit outside. The rooms are really well done and comfortable. The food they serve - from breakfast to scones in the afternoon - is all delicious and homemade. It is also a short, convenient walk (~10 min) into the city.

Beautiful Victorian house located just outside Oban center. Amazing view of the bay and Kerrera and Mull islands from the garden. Cozy room but very comfortable. Wonderful breakfast in the morning and cocktails at night! Highly recommended

It's not a dislike but being able to get food in the evenings would be fabulous.

Ideally located for Oban and surrounding areas. The View from gardens breath taking over Oban and surrounding isles. Breakfast outstanding, staff couldn't do enough for the guests. Will definitely return.

There's nothing to dislike about Dungallan - it is a charming, relaxing bit of paradise.

There are not enough superlatives for the fabulous Dungallan House. The breakfast is sumptuous and plentiful. The room was quite comfortable. And the view! The view was breathtaking. The staff were attentive and real professionals. And the manager, Michelle, went out of her way to advise us on restaurants and tours, helped with transportation, and is generally a five-star ambassador for the property.

The only thing I would say is the B&B is up a hill, which didn't bother me but might not be great for some.

Clean modern property with excellent views. Breakfast choices were very good, with a Gluten Free menu, I am Gluten Free and the choices were great. All staff were very friendly and welcoming a special mention to Declan the Barman, who was very friendly with excellent communication skills and knowledge of the Bar drinks, places to eat/visit in Oban.

Friendly staff, lovely breakfast and a good hot shower. Beautiful views to wake up to. Great lounge/library to relax in and a well stocked and knowledgeable barman to organise a pre-dinner drink.

The only downside was that there was no dinner service available on-site, as the property only offers breakfast and grazing boards. However, the team made up for this by helping us secure great dining options in town.

We loved our stay at Dungallan Country House. The location was ideal — about a 15-minute walk to the centre of town with a quick taxi ride back up — and the property itself had a charming, cozy feel. It was well maintained, with beautiful lawns and views over the water. Customer service was excellent; we were able to upgrade our room for a very minimal cost, and the staff went above and beyond throughout our stay. The bar was particularly inviting, with a warm atmosphere and great service from Declan, and breakfast was very good. Lisa was also incredibly helpful in arranging restaurant reservations in town and even booking a round of golf for us.

Excellent location. Oban is a nice town and provides great reach to many places including Fort William. Excellent staff, they are very responsive, kind and helpful. Very good breakfast. The parking is spacious and right in the front.

The less expensive rooms are up the back stairs" and probably servants quarter, although updated with FABULOUS modern bathrooms.
