Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing.
Continental breakfast suited us fine as we we cycling a lot. Location was excellent for Crinan canal and the Argyll Art open week locations. You also cannot move for ancient monuments and you can make yourself king at Dunadd hill fort. The pine martins were the cherry on the top of the cake.

A lovely quiet location within easy reach of the prehistoric sites of the Kilmartin valley. Our host could not have been more helpful, giving advice on local sites and was very happy to offer an alternative menu for breakfast which we had pre arranged with her. The room was very spacious and clean with a very nice en-suite bathroom.

The location was perfect for my interests. I loved being across from the standing stones, cairns, stone art, and a henge! The entire area is mesmerizing! The museum down the street is fantastic! The host, Lynn, is an absolute doll! She immediately made me feel at home and is an incredible wealth of knowledge, she’s a true gem! I’ll be spending more time there on my next adventure. It’s all so picturesque!! What a find!!! Thank you Lynn!

United KingdomNothing I didn't like. The shower pressure wasn't what I'm used to if I had to find something, but it got the job done.
Everything I want from a bnb. Comfy bed, good breakfast, friendly host. Parking was at the bottom of the room's private staircase which was handy. The view was also great.

United KingdomYou have to look hard to find anything to complain about but to be pedantic the en-suite door was difficult to close and needs some adjustment.
The host, Lynn, was very welcoming, friendly and obliging and instantly made you feel at home. The bedroom was very clean, the beds were comfy, all the facilities you need and a spotless en-suite - in fact the whole place was immaculate. Great views from the bedroom window across open fields. From the dining room you could watch a wide range of birds on the feeders just outside the window. We were also lucky enough to see our first pine-martin, which Lynn encourages into the garden along with all manner of other creatures. Breakfast is continental style with a good choice of cereals, fruit, breads & drinks and more items available on the menu provided. The property's easily accessible as it's situated on a main road but there's no shops, restaurants or the like nearby but plenty a short drive away. There's several ancient monuments in the area and on of them, some 'standing stones', can be seen right opposite the property. This place is run by a lovely lady who clearly has high standards, evident from the moment you walk in. It has to be one of the nicest places we've ever stayed at, if not the nicest, and we would certainly book-in again if visiting the area.

United KingdomNothing really!
Very conveniently located for our purposes. The lady of the house was very kind and attentive to our comfort. The continental breakfast was simple but perfectly healthy and sufficient. A short stay, but we would certainly consider returning. Adequate parking space, and easily located close to road, although not noisy.

United KingdomNo issues, a very thoughtful host
Brilliant location. I stayed here last October and enjoyed so much that I returned. Lynn is a lovely, thoughtful host. Freshly chopped fruit with cereals and she ensured there were vegan options for me too. Lots of information on local walks and places to visit and eat. Quiet and comfortable. Totally recommend . I had the room overlooking the standing stones, and there were beautiful sunsets. Last time i visited Kilmartin museum and explored the standing stones and sites. This time I went to the coast more...I recommend heading to Crinan and doing a boat trip with Venture West. Views were stunning all along the coastline! Kimory beach was also beautiful

United KingdomApart from our bed being a little uncomfortable, there was nothing I didn't like. We were even lucky with the weather.
We stayed at the house in the hope of seeing Pine Martens and were not disappointed as we had several sightings on the garden feeders over the two nights. The location is very scenic, with a neolithic stone circl just over the road, and the local area gives access to some really fascinating walks. The rooms are very pleasant and clean. The lovely lady at the house provides a good continental breakfast and lots of advice about the local area and wildlife. We had a great trip.

United KingdomA traditional continental breakfast might include such things as cheese and cooked meats, but what we were offered was more than adequate for our needs and would count amongst the best of its kind we have had in the UK.
Continental breakfast provided was of very good quality. There was a variety of food and drink items to choose from and plentiful. Breakfast was served in a relaxed manner in a very pleasant dedicated room.

United KingdomTo be honest there was absolutely nothing we did not like about the place. My only grumble is that it is too far away from where we live to visit regularly as it took about 7 hours of hard driving to get there from the midlands!
everything was spotless in the house. The owner was very friendly and helpful and told us about the local area and facilities. Anything we asked for was supplied with a smile and it was never too much trouble for her. There is a great area set aside in the hallway for people wishing to explore with lots of maps and leaflets and information on the history of the village and glen.
