There were a couple of aspects where the hotel would benefit from a bit more care and attention to detail. A red bull can outside our first floor not removed, some rusting on bathroom pipes that had extended onto tiles

The people were friendly and engaging

Room was clean and fine but the decor is a little dated/standard, would suggest making it a little more special/updated

Breakfast was excellent although table would suggest a couple more round tables for larger parties. Location and staff were excellent

The only thing I noticed was that I could hear vents outside my window which were quite loud at times but I got off to sleep so it wasn’t too much of a problem.

Really lovely hotel , staff, position and comfort.

The only negative was that the tall floor lamp didn't work & we needed it as it was a miserable day weather wise.

Feeling a little tired and a bit dark. Air conditioning struggled. Used to stay here before Covid and decor still looks the same. Also there used to be a valet parking service which would have helped if still available.

    Excellent location and friendly staff.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to the gas not working.

I booked it especially as it was a dinner bed and breakfast deal, but unfortunately the kitchen had a malfunction so we couldn’t have our dinner. But we ended up going to Browns next door for a very expensive meal instead. The bed was very comfortable and our room was upgraded for free + cocktails for free. The staff were extremely friendly & we would definitely visit again.

Some of the maintenance in the room was a bit tired. The shower guard leaked and the windows were not as clean as one would have liked. But these were quite minor points.

It had character and was comfortable.

Bathtube quite high, meaning for elderly people I can imagine not really easy to climb it to get under the shower. All in all not very elderly or walking impared people friendly. It starts with 3 very high steps at the staire at entrance. The lift was broken and could not be used. The bar is in a cellar and believe can olny be accessed though the staircase.

Room has a good size. Personnel very friendly and helpful. Windows can be opened. Room on the back very quiet

A stylish and well presented boutique hotel in a beautiful location.

It would have been useful to know the hotel is under some reconstruction when booking, the whole frontage is heavily scaffolded and also our courtyard was scaffolded so was not pleasant at all to sit out there under the metal beams and significant intrusion into the suite space. Our room wasn't ready on arrival at 3pm and we had to wait just over an hour and a half to access it. Staff were helpful and apologetic and we had a free cocktail in the lounge and the duty manager attended to the situation suitably, but this was still unacceptable (especially more when paying for a suite) and cut into our leisure time where we could have done something else and gone a little later if advised. There was an ant on the breakfast menu and when we commented, it was casually acknowledged that ants were an issue at the moment! In fairness, I only saw one but not too pleasant on your breakfast menu!

The suite we booked was lovely, spacious and comfortable. The bed was extra large and the linen quality was excellent for a great night's sleep. The bathroom area was large with a fabulous free standing bath and a monsoon shower, good products to use, too. Double vanity and a well presented space. Was nice to have a courtyard outside and the door to allow air through. Perfect temperature in the room even though was a really hot day, Fascinating glass covered original well feature in the room, quality TV and everything needed to relax and restore. Breakfast was good with a good range of food on the buffet and freshly cooked to order hot breakfast too.

Only that there was scaffolding outside our window but understand the reasons for this. Also there was no lift operating to the second floor.

The staff were very friendly and helpful even carrying my bag to the room. The deluxe room was lovely and comfortable. The bar area was very cozy.
