Can’t fault it.

Clean up to date decor. Very comfortable beds. Easy parking. Good advice on where to go for evening meal. Very good breakfast. Very pleasant host and hostess who introduced themselves so very personal touch. Did not use the bar but it looked very cosy and well stocked. Swimming pool looked very inviting but the weather wasn’t. We only planned to stay one night but next time will stay for longer.

We loved staying at the Dower house hotel. Neil and Rosemary were very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed using the outdoor pool twice on our stay. Can’t wait to return again next year.

From arrival we made to feel very much at home. The swimming pool was very clean and an added bonus bearing in mind the weather was so hot. The breakfast was served to us in the bar area as we had a dog (who was given a sausage to enjoy) and this was very well organised. The room was exceptional and the views magnificent. The bed and shower were all excellent. We would certainly visit again.

There is nothing to be negative about regarding our stay at The Dower House Hotel and we would certainly return. If being super, super picky we would choose to stay in one of the larger rooms next time as the Gould room although beautifully appointed with fantastic views is a little too small for our comfort, and we also missed having a chair in the room .. having said that we very much look forward to returning!

Emily is a credit to the hotel - always available to help or answer any queries and her excellent service and attention to detail is reflected in all of the staff. The outside pool was a fantastic bonus and was wonderful to use particularly in the midst of a heatwave! Breakfast served to the table in the lovely front room was very good, with quality, locally sourced ingredients. We loved our stay - thank you!

We liked the size of the hotel and the fact that it wasn’t in a noisy town location, yet with easy access to several beautiful coastal towns. Parking was easy, breakfast was excellent, beds comfy and the staff were the friendliest I have ever come across anywhere in the world.

The quality and standard of not just our room but the whole house was beautifully and very tastefully decorated. The breakfasts were superb; the poached egg was absolutely perfect and much better than we can achieve at home! The pool was an added delight and it was wonderful to cool-off and relax in after a hard day's walking, driving and sight-seeing. In fact, the Dower House Hotel, facilities, staff, location, and particularly Neil & Rosemarie were just perfect!

The Hosts were very welcoming. There were lots of little extra thoughtful touches. The room was large and comfortable with lovely views. Great breakfast, lovely location and grounds with just a short drive into Lyme Regis. The outdoor swimming pool and loungers were a bonus.
