Could of done with a fan in the room, kettle was full of lime scale so couldn't use it.

Friendly and welcoming staff, I asked about an earlier check in as we had a train to catch into London and they were very accommodating. Room was clean, comfy bed, nice selection of tea/coffee/biscuits, easy check in/check out. Great location

There was no air conditioning in the rooms, was staying during a heat wave and the rooms were quite hot and resulted in not the best sleep. There were no fans provided to keep cool in the rooms.

Staff was very friendly, the food that is available on site is quite tasty. The rooms are spacious and amenities are great.

Stairs going upto top floor are tight and tricky particularly with a large bag/suitcase and ceiling on top stairwell very low

The shower head needs a clean- the water was only coming out of less than half of the holes and the water didn’t get vey hot, although the hand held shower was hot. Being on the Main Street they could do with a net curtain or something because the only way for privacy was to put down the blackout blinds which isn’t really practical in day time.

It was central. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean and they provided tea, coffee, water and snacks. They said it could be noisy and provided earplugs. We were on the street side of the building and weren’t disturbed by noise.

Received an email on the day of booking stating that kitchen and bar wasnt open during my stay. Otherwise all was good.

Room was a little bit hot but it was a warm day. The shower head started to spontaneously drip water at 2am even though it was all turned off. It sounded like rain and woke me up but stopped after about 5 mins, thankfully.. I wonder if this has happened before?

Had everything I needed and more. Easy access in and out. Good value and perfect location. Cosy room

No staff present at time of check in. Shower clearly prone to flooding and handle broken but this is easily resolved.

Room clean and comfortable, probably fortunate to being staying on a night the pub was closed so nice and quiet. Well stocked room with complimentary teas, coffees and snacks. Reasonable communication via text message to make up for lack of staff on site.

The bathroom has been renovated to a certain extent but needs a few finishing touches. The Kettle could do with a descale.

The hotel is in a great location, the Bar is closed on a Monday and Tuesday so was quiet for us. The member of staff that called prior to arriving was very informative of the check in process.

There was no human interaction, everything was done over message and then a key left in the door. It needed a bit of updating, but all in all it was a comfortable room.

The only disappointment was we'd been advised the pub was open till 12.30 on Saturday night, but when we returned at about midnight for a final drink it was already closed.

Nice pub with rooms. Stayed for a couple of nights. Easy, efficient & friendly check-in. Room comfortable & clean with comfortable beds. Nice big bath towels.

For awareness - the rooms are up steep stairs. The shower was over the bath and the bath did not drain away as quickly as the water ran, ending up with feet in standing water. The building is old so not modern and soundproofed, although earplugs are provided! No breakfast on offer, but plenty of other places to eat within easy walking distance

Located right in the middle of Hertford over the pub. Easy access to lots of pubs/restaurants and the town centre shops. Separate car park at the back (not part of the pub and paid separately), convenient although it did get busy. Nice light big room (we paid for the larger room). Bed was comfortable and bedding clean

The kettle in the room had a lot of limescale so they could probably do with swapping that out.

The room was clean and close to the train station which made it easy to go into London. It was also near the square in Hertford so easy to get to other little shops. We were also able to have a drink in the bar at the end of the day.

Room was very cold unfortunately. A thicker duvet would’ve been nice.
