Excellent location and a comfy stay!

I have stayed here twice and love it so much that I know that I will come again and again. The grounds are beautiful and so peaceful, tucked away from such a busy city. It is like a home away from home. Alix and Seth, who manage the property, are absolutely delightful and the most kindest people ever. They made me feel so welcomed and as I was by myself, I had plenty of wonderful conversations with them. They are great company and work so hard to maintain a wonderful stay and to keep the manor running. During my stays, I was doing exams so they made sure I was stress free and gave me advice. I adore them so much and can see how much effort they put into their work. The bed and room are spacious and so comfortable. When you walk into the room, it immediately smells lovely. The living room and conservatory are great rooms to relax or work, which is what I did. I could not have asked for a more clean or beautiful place to decompress and work. I also enjoyed the hot tub during the nights and it was perfect! I can't recommend Denham Mount or ALix and Seth enough.

Very peaceful setting. The grounds and the house are well kept. My room was very comfortable and quiet. I used an Uber to get to and from the property. It worked fine but just be advised there is a gate you have to open with a provided phone number. When I left I met the uber driver on the other side of the gate.

The grounds could’ve been better maintained. Our room was on the top floor and was scorching hot. Unfortunately we were there during a heat wave. A few good working fans would have helped tremendously. The bugs were a bit overwhelming since we had to open the windows. The owner wrote back to me right away and apologized and said they will work on these issues.

Love, love, love the room! Large, coffee and water provided. Water pressure was great. Love that you can use the whole property- was a beautiful walk through the gardens. You can even use the kitchen. The two sitting rooms were quite comfortable and looked out over the property. If you want a glass of wine, you need to bring your own. Loved sitting out back in the evening with a glass of wine. Hot tub available too! Just too hot to use.

Lovely large room, comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. Beautiful views across the grounds towards the lake. Stayed in the lakeside view room. The house is beautiful and kept exceptionally clean.

We were greeted and familiarised with the ground floor amenities before being lead to our room by charming Seth..... in bare feet - not hygienic at all and not in keeping with the ambience this beautiful house deserves to be honoured with. Both mattresses of our super king size bed were very uncomfortable. Only 1 bedside table and no light either side of the bed but a very bright overhead bulb. Not helpful if one of us has to get up during the night to use the facilities.

The location and property were delightful, quiet - just what was required. Free use of the kitchen amenities was a surprising plus. The large garden invited to relaxation and the adjoining horses paddock made this property extra special. There is a choice of 2 large sitting rooms - one especially for quiet contemplation and reading. The Heritage room was very generously sized with seating facilities as well as a table for computer work.

Dunham Mount is an bsolutely stunning hotel and the most beautiful, peaceful place to stay. Alix and Seth were wonderful hosts - nothing was too much trouble. I had messaged the previous day to give our estimated time of arrival, but Alix rang to check we were ok and that we were still on schedule - so kind. Our huge room was simply amazing; the bed was so comfortable I could have slept for a week. The ensuite was very luxurious with the biggest, fluffiest towels I have ever used; these were matched equally by the lovely bath robes and slippers. Cleanliness and general maintenance throughout the house was impeccable. We opted for breakfast and this was prepared by Alix and cooked fresh at the predetermined time (arranged upon arrival). If you want a "full English" you certainly get it at Dunham Mount - delicious. Can't wait for our next visit, thank you so so much Patricia, Alix and Seth.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

I was greeted by the manager of the hotel, she was very friendly and welcoming. The room was gorgeous, very spacious and comfortable. The ensuite was well appointed and very clean. The grounds were beautiful, with horses roaming free, but not near the guests.
