Nothing at all apart from the midges

A superbly presented house decorated and furnished in traditional Scottish style, spacious rooms and the facilities were excellent, we had a great time in the hot tub.

The only small issue was an occasional unpleasant smell from the drainage in the en-suite bedroom. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

The cottage is in a beautiful location with stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Everything we needed was provided – more than enough. Very peaceful and close to Loch Lomond.

The cottage was fabulous, it had everything we needed and more! Views of the loch were superb rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Living room sofa was aged but not a significant issue. Our hosts were lovely helpful and accommodating.

This is a great cottage in an exceptional location. The uninterrupted views of the hills and Loch are amazing - the front of the property overlooks the Loch. The cottage is very well equipped and definitely can cater for 6 people - enough crockery/cutlery which you don’t always find. We didn’t use the back garden but there is a hot tub which is sheltered and a seating area too. The owners welcome dogs and were not phased when I said we were bringing ours - again you don’t always get this. There are plenty of places to eat in Arrochar including the Village Inn and Cu Mara which also does takeaways too (Thurs-Sun in the winter season).

The Neighbor old man kept walking into the garden saying he’s looking for his pots which frightened some of the girls who were alone in the hot tub. But he is a very nice old man.

En-suite bathroom a little tight but as there were only two of us we didn't need to use it as we used the bathroom downstairs.

Excellently equipped property with a beautiful view over the loch. A lot of effort has been put into the property with two excellent decks. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked. Decor was very pleasing. BBQ and hot tub on a deck that someone had put a lot of work into forming and building

The cottage was cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with so many amenities, which made cooking really great. All of the bedrooms were decorated very nicely and the location was perfect!

The only fault i could say was the sofa was uncomfortable but thats all.

Everything!! We loved just everything at Maclean cottage. Every piece of detailing, facilities, meticulously selected artifacts and crockery, abundant resources, the user manual with all contacts and a super luxurious feel and view from the cottage was wonderful. It was literally living a dream vacation at just right budget. The host were very polite and supportive in answering us in time. Amazing cottage, with plenty of space for 6 adults and everything you could possibly need for your stay. We did several walks from the loch and it was lovely to come back and sit on the hot tub looking out at The Cobbler in the evening.

En-suite bathroom is very small with open shower that when used wet all over the place. The sink there is very hard to use as our heads keep bumping to the mirror. They do not provide shampoo or conditioner. The floor can get very cold in winter and no slippers provided. There is no heater in the kitchen and no extractor. Also we found some of the dishes and mugs are not clean and some were dusty. Clogged bath tub in the family bathroom. Would be better if things were cleaner and more organized.

We like the Christmas decorations. Also the view was fantastic! We like that each room has its own style. The kitchen is well-equipped. The outdoor heater is useful during winter. The neighbors were very kind and friendly!
