Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFor the price, the rooms were a little small with no window. But it was bank holiday weekend so it worked out better value than elsewhere.
The hotel was in a very good location and the rooms were spotless. Air conditioning worked great. Staff were very friendly.

United KingdomNothing. I'll accept the bargain price for a windowless room ( which ive found sometimes if you have a window on a city break, you are staring at a brick wall 10 feet away).
The room was bright and very clean. It was very small but there is ample shelf room for your gear. It's also a short walk to the Albert docks and the city centre. The room was also windowless below ground level. It's the first city break I've had in Liverpool and I would certainly stay here again. Excellent value.

United KingdomOnly one set of plug sockets which were low down so you had to put the kettle on the floor and was nowhere near the bed so you couldn’t use your phone whilst charging it.
Easy to find, very clean, good air conditioning, value for money, close proximity to the venue I was visiting and the train station.

United KingdomIf you are looking for something spacious or romantic then you will need to look elsewhere but you will also need to pay a lot more. This is better suited to solo business travellers or people just wanting a bed for the night after a concert or football game.
This is a budget hotel with small rooms but when all you need is a place to sleep it's great. It's clean, well priced and the staff are friendly.

The location of the property was a good one in town centre and on a quiet street. The room was clean, shower good and bed was comfortable. Staff checking us in were friendly and when I asked for another pillow it was given to me really quickly

New ZealandThe wifi was unusable and there was hardly any cell reception, the TV barely worked (sound and picture choppy and there was only a couple of working channels. The hot water was barely lukewarm even when I left it to heat up for a while. Bed was on the harder side. I didn't mind too much having no phone or wifi for one evening but it wouldn't be good in any kind of emergency as there is no phone in the room either, so if you fell over or had a heart attack it wouldn't be good.
It was as I expected for the price, the room had everything you would need for a short stay where you're not expecting to be in your hotel much.

United KingdomThe reception was unmanned when we arrived and we had to wait a good twenty minutes but when she turned up she explained there was a problem at one of the other sites and apologised which is fair enough. It’s very easy to get lost in the maze of corridors; it would have been nice to have the exit signed from all round the halls. Some of the room number signs are a little bit misleading - with the odd absent range.
I liked that the location of the Hotel meant that I discovered some parts of the city that I have missed; when I usually stay around James Street or Matthew Street. The room was very compact but this was good as the air conditioning cooled it down nice and quick. The tea/coffee and Lotus biscuits were a nice touch. The complex looked fairly clean. Bed was nice and comfy.

United KingdomI think the air conditioning unit not working and there being no windows or other sources of air was a bit claustrophobic. The rooms without windows were quite warm and could have really done with air circulation. I did find a mini fan unit that I got working which sorted it in a fix but the remote was very complicated for me and didnt seem to respond to any buttons pressed
I thought the room served a purpose and for a low budget trip I couldnt ask for more really. It was quite hard to find initially, but it's walking distance to albert docks so was great location
