Booking in was hard, there was a couple waiting for an hour, they couldn't contact the villa to book in! I managed to contact them half hour later when I came across another number to call, and while I was booking in, I booked the other couple in on my phone.No spoon to make a coffee.

I liked it because it was in York.

Struggled with the water from the taps and the shower. Could not get hot water from the shower so baths were the only option which was fine for us.

Staff are very friendly. The room comes with a kettle, hairdryer, TV, fan and heater which all worked and were high quality. The bed was comfortable and the bath was more spacious than expected.

Only small area for parking but did manage to park luckily not sure what we would have done as the charges elsewhere are expensive

Really good location, only stayed one night so not in there for long, it was quite where we stayed at the side of the hotel. Had a fan also which was a bonus as it was a very hot day/night. Basic but friendly staff

We had been communicating with the host through the platform's messaging system, but when it came time to check in, no message was sent with the check-in code. Instead, we had to call and speak over the phone in order to get the code to open the door. It was really hard to understand why this wasn’t sent in advance.

For just £7, you can park in the hotel's private parking lot, which is great. It's only about a 10-minute walk to the city center. The room is clean and comfortable. Also, there's a nearby Chinese takeaway called Chop Suey House — it's cheap, delicious, and offers generous portions. It's very popular.

Extra charge for parking

Very friendly, called to try and check in early and they said we could collect the key and leave the car (parking is extra, don't agree with this, but it is) Collected the key card and when we did come back later it was clean and functional. The room was smaller than it appeared in photos but it was bright and comfortable. It does need an overhaul and a repaint though. There was tea, coffee and water, and a fridge. Had a comfortable night and location is decent, you can walk easily into the town centre. Very friendly again upon checking out. Not a bad price for York. Would use again.

No place in the shower stall for soap and loofah. A suggestion is to provide an attached shelf in the shower stall. Steps are steep so ask for a ground floor room if you have mobility issues.

Room was clean and comfortable though tiny for a single room. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided in the room. Helpful staff whom you can only reach on the phone as there is no reception staff. Convenient place to stay for a short visit - 2 -3 days.

The layout of the facilities were a little different with the shower beside the bed and the property rule not allowing you to eat or drink in your room just in case you drop something on the bedding not great when you are trying to budget travel and want an easy cheap meal

Good location a short walk into the centre of York but it is also on 3 bus runs so a bus is coming every 10 minutes or so and no need to purchase tickets just tap on and off with contactless payment If you are travelling for a long time like us there is a laundrette just across the street and an off licence shop on the corner

It was confusing as there seems to be 2 different hotels 5 mins from each other it needs to be made clearer as we was stood at the other hotel trying to get in as the taxi drops you off on the main road
