Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomStunning location, peaceful, incredible views everywhere you look, pods of dolphins swimming by, lovely little walk into Craster. No need for the car once arrived as several walks straight from the doorstep (Dunstanburgh, Low Newton, Howick coves, Craster, Embleton). The cabin was beautifully presented, with every thought and comfort considered for guests. Including binoculars for the views and a torch for the walk back from the pub. We didn't want to come home.

United KingdomAbsolutely loved our stay here, cabin was very comfortable and clean, had everything we needed and was very peaceful. Enjoyed watching the sunrise over the sea one morning, and access to the nearby coastal path suited us perfectly. Kerry and William are great hosts. We've been recommending this place to friends and family already!

United KingdomNothing to dislike.
The style, the cleanliness, the fairy lights around the cabin. Loved the tea, coffee, sugar and a pint of milk in the fridge. There’s a hob, toaster and all cooking equipment, you need. Torch, binoculars and log burner. The staff very friendly, even said we could go help lambing and see the lambs. Even said check out after 10 no rush before 12, would use again.

United KingdomWould be great if a microwave could be added as no oven, just to be able to cook something quick if not wanting to eat out as only a stove and toaster available The slope up to the cabin is a bit steep but was worth it for the views Kerrie did take luggage up to the cabin for us in the buggy which was a great help
Peaceful location with great views Very comfortable and just what we needed for a relaxing weekend away Kerrie and her husband were very friendly and helpful

United KingdomNothing. These are not negative points us. Just to help future guests understand the property. Some reviews have mentioned the lack of an oven and microwave etc. We simply planned meals for the stove top. Some similar cabins have only 2 rings and it was luxury to have a 4 rings gas burner. It should be noted that parking as is short distance from the cabins but William met us in a small off road vehicle to transfer luggage, which was very helpful.
The cabin was in a fantastic location and very cosy. Even in September we did not need any heating, although we were impressed that there was underfloor heating as well as the wood burner. The small kitchen was well equipped and allowed us to have relaxing evenings in with a home cooked meal. The Jolly Fisherman in Craster is a 10 minute walk away if you want to eat out. The bed was comfortable and the en-suite shower was hot and had good pressure. We were especially happy to see the dolphins swimming past one morning and really appreciated that Kelly and William had thought to put binoculars in the cabin.

United KingdomNothing as far as we are concerned. Kerry has obviously done her research & has created something quite different but exceptional. Loved it.
Kerry met us with the key on arrival & took us to where we were staying. She gave us a rundown on where everything was & how it worked. She called round the next day to make sure we have everything we needed & a good first night in the place. The place was fabulous & in an ideal location to just watch the sea / sunrise & sunset. Will definitely be back for another long weekend.

United KingdomI could have done with a higher mirror than the low one in the bathroom, to dry my hair in. I made do by sitting on the bed and using the bathroom mirror but it was quite a tricky angle, around the door and passed the shower.
The views from the cabin were amazing and the placement was so peaceful. The cabin itself was very well stocked for such a small space, we really didn't need anything more. The location is perfect for a short walk into Craster, excellent for getting steps!

Czech RepublicThere is only a hot plate cooker. We would have appreciated an oven or microwave. But I guess there must be a reason. The illustration photo is of the more expensive cabin which has a slightly better sea view. If you want it perfect, worth the extra few pounds.
The owner of the farmhouse has built on his land very nice cabins with a romantic view of the sea. If you are looking for something a little more original than the usual city accommodation, you are here at the right address. The cabins have been designed with an eye for the surrounding nature and environment. It's an absolutely peaceful place, just birds and the sea. Cabins are equipped with a kitchen, but it is also possible to walk along the coast to the nearby town of Craster, where there are several pubs. We visited the Jolly Fisherman which is the closest and the food was really great.

United KingdomI would have liked a hairdryer and either a microwave or, and this would be my choice, an air fryer. I think if I'd been staying any longer one or the other would have been essential. Although I have seen that the access is mentioned in the detailed description, I certainly missed it and I think it would be fairer to make these details more prominent.
Stunning location. Very comfy bed with first class linen. The owner has gone the extra mile to provide good quality furnishings and the décor is beautiful and carefully executed.
