Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMore cutlery and plates ( the ones in the sideboard were a bit too delicate for regular use), more thriwa and blankets for the. Lounge to snuggle, more lamos needwd in the lounge as it is too dark for reading.
Excellent location, quiet. Arfern village and melfort village were lovely. Isle of seil was beautiful. Took the kids to lunga stabkes.. Patricia was lovely and the kids loved the experience. Went on a sea cruise with tony, Farsain cruises was an unforgettable exoerience. The village store in ardfern was a treasure. Saved us a trek to Oban. Wish the weather played ball... We could have explored more.

United KingdomMy only concern was that electricity is not included in the price, meter readings were taken at the beginning and end of our week, however, it only cost just over £12 for the whole week so not unreasonable.
When we arrived the key was in the door and our surname was on a board hanging on the back door. The accommodation was perfect, the kitchen was equipped with everything you could need for a week away. The bedrooms were plenty big enough with the main bedroom enjoying a view over the loch. The open plan living and dining area and kitchen was great for socialising whilst cooking meals.

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn't like
Craobh Marina Cottages provided the perfect Christmas getaway for my partner, our dog & me. Nestled in the middle of nowhere, the setting was peaceful & tranquil: ideal for a relaxing holiday. The cottage truly felt like a home away from home, equipped with everything we could possibly need. We were even greeted with a thoughtful welcome box of Quality Street & a Christmas card, which added a lovely personal touch. The staff went above & beyond by warming the cottage (at their own expense) for us before we arrived, ensuring it was cozy until we got the fire going. The cleanliness was impeccable & the beds were wonderfully comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience & wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future.

Cosy cottage with the most amazing scenery. The log burner was well needed and Sue was easy to get hold of when we needed more logs. The sunsets were amazing. The cottage is much bigger that the pictures make it. Well equipped and comfy beds.

United StatesNo store or pub (late Sept 2024). The Lord of the Isles pub and store is up for sale! It is being renovated and put on the market. I hope someone buys and opens it as it would make this little village perfect to visit again. Also, just to note - not a bad thing, you must be able to walk stairs to access the toilet.
This flat is in a spectacular location! We sat out among the roses and watched birds, boats, and the sunset several evenings. It is really clean and has funky midcentury style open stairs which helps the living spaces feel more connected. The kitchen was fine for cooking and making sandwiches. The single bathroom was spacious and the shower was plenty hot and strong. The beds were comfortable, extra pillows in the cabinet, and the linens were soft. I appreciated the washbasin in the main bedroom since I had to share the bathroom with all my boys. There is a laundry machine that washes & dries which was great for leaving a load going while out and having it all done upon return. We walked along the village to the little marina, but spent most days exploring the Kintyre peninsula and the Neolithic sites of Kilmartin Glen. It was a great base for day trips, but we had to plan dinners, store trips, and time for cooking. Oban is a short, albeit winding, drive for supplies and restaurants.
