It was quiet, clean and comfortable

The window in the bathroom that looks into the utility room of the farmhouse, could really do with a blind and the glass in the front door could do with being at the least frosted

Great location, clean and tidy, new kitchen facilities, everything required was there. Lovely seating area in the farmyard. Shower was lovely and hot and powerful, Stayed to go to Devon show, Phillip recommended cycling to the show as we had our bikes on the car, this was a great recommendation as we missed all the traffic and went straight in

Lovely apartment in a quiet spot but still well located for travel. The host was very helpful with directions when the main road was closed. The apartment had everything necessary for our short stay and we would definitely visit again.

Even though this location is only about 5 minutes' drive from the M5, we didn't notice any traffic noise. The cottage was clean and had a good level of kitchen equipment for a self-catering stay. A good location for walking with options to stay away from the busy roads and to choose country lanes or public footpaths instead. The courtyard is clean and there is plenty of room for parking.

This is a minor point, but there is no view from the cottage.

The accommodation was warm, cozy, comfortable and well equipped. The location was spot on. Just off the M5 motorway and near to all main routes. Lots of great tourist attractions nearby. Loved it

The annex was good with all the basic amenities working and it was set in an old, working farm. It is in a pretty area which has cows and also arable farmland. There are troughs filled with herbs and flowers outside the properties. It’s not too far from Exeter if you drive but has no public transport within walking distance. The hosts lived and worked on the site.

At times the machinery and work could be loud near the properties. There should be a description on the accommodation profile about Courtbrook farm being a working farm. The family seemed uncomfortable with talking and socialising, especially the older male farmer who was a bit stand offish. Manners always make a difference. Also there wasn’t clear instructions about where to put the recycling/compost waste or leaving the property. The skylight windows would benefit from a big clean/ decobweb and ethical removal of some spiders. Also the bed post corners were a hazard as i found out several times by bashing my knee which was painful! The older farmer didn’t seem to care when told about this. Smoothers corners would help when walking around the bed and a more compassionate/ friendly manner from the hosts would definitely help guests stay here in the future.

Lovely cosy apartment in a quiet farm courtyard. Everything you could need inside for self catering, decent TV and WiFi, nice sitting area outside get the sun and you can park right by your door. Owners are very welcoming and happy to sort any requests!
