IrelandThe first room we stayed in needed freshening up. The second room was roasting! We had the AC on and the fan and we still couldn’t sleep with the heat!
Great location, easy walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and marina. The staff at reception are extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed two nights in two different rooms. The second room was spacious and clean.

United KingdomThe hotel is badly in need of an update. Decor and fittings are very worn and damaged in places. I arrived on a hot day and the room was like an oven. There was no air conditioning and the fan provided in the room did not work. The windows had restricted opening which is normal in hotel rooms but one of the two windows would barely open a crack. Although the bed was comfortable and I slept well, I woke up in a pool of sweat.
Location ideal and staff were kind and helpful. This hotel has great potential because of its location right in the centre of town and next to the train and bus stations.

United KingdomOur first room was cold due to the wooden floors and the bed was very very uncomfortable and rusty.
We booked a standard room however when we got the the best was rusty and the mattress was so uncomfortable. We asked at the front desk if we could upgrade our room and the lovely desk person upgraded us to a penthouse complimentary! Loved the jacuzzi bathtub and the little fireplace

United KingdomIt was quite noisey in general from other guests The sink had a crack in it There was no hot water in the shower The toilet handle felt like it was gonna come off with any flush I got locked out my room. I came in late Saturday night into Sunday morning and wasn’t due out until 11am Sunday but my room card key wasn’t working I had to go to reception and it turned out my card had been set up to deactivate at midnight Saturday even though I wasn’t due out till 11am Sunday

United KingdomRoom heater not optimal for the cold weather . This may have been due to the fact that the weather was very cold that night. I feel they should invest in more efficient heaters. No rug or carpets that could have helped with the cold floor also as it was plain wooden. I hadn’t previously lodged in any hotel in the UK still using wooden floors without rugs, so was quite surprised . No room TV or small refrigerator as well, considering it was a family room . The shower had issues with its regulator , no cold water except from wash hand basin, had to improvise from there with a large bottle I had with me. To be fair to them, I didn’t inform them in the morning when I found out as I was pressed for time, until during check out . I guess they may sorted it later after check out .
Large enough rooms. Beds were okay. Staff at reception was pleasant. The bonus of staying here was mainly the nearness to train station and university .

United KingdomThe noise from window, I understand its on a busy street but windows wernt sealed or closed properly. . Room very cold, heater didn't get hot/work . Nor did fireplace as air was colsd by the time it reached bed area Draughty so door was tapping all night. Only a small amount of toilet roll when we arrived (qusrter of a roll) all in all I would stay again if minor things were fixed.
The great central location pillows on bed were very comfortable. Great value for money for a night out. Somewhere to rest your head. Clean enough Check in was great and staff were friendly Vending machine ok but could of had more variety Fab base for Hull would stay again we had a night out.

United KingdomThe side panel of the bath was falling off. The grout was old (tiled floor) and needed turning white again. The bed and the couch was hard and uncomfortable, but that could just be because we use memory foam (the bed was springs) and our couch is feather padded (cheap leather look hotel couches that are hard to sit on). Overall the hotel was nice once, it is not in its prime and could use a refurb to bring it back to life.
The jacquzi bathtub was amazing. Water pressure was spot on and the tub was both wide and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and easy to talk to. The marble staircases are spectacular and whisper of times past when the hotel was at its peak.

United KingdomThe room let it down slightly, draws were missing ac right over bed and didn’t work properly, bathroom door didn’t lock, toilet holder was broken, shower head wouldn’t stay up, double bed was two singles together, tv basically on ceiling, phone charger was on top of bed so not practical, shower curtain wasn’t fully clean.
