How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Property in a good location, easy to access transport to different parts of London. The staff is exceptional, especially the day time concierge, which provided some tips for the different activities we wanted to do.

The vintage key and lock was a little frustrating to operate, but reception was always glad to help. This particular apartment would be a bit hot in a heat wave, but the portable AC and fans combined were quite powerful if bedroom doors are left open.
Favorite neighborhood to stay - super quiet but 5 min to well rated (and uncrowded!) restaurants and 2 underground stations. Apartment was clean, furnishings seemed new / updated, lots of layers of lighting options, wall decor, plush carpet. Appliances / fixtures were quality (ex. Bosch, Breville, Hansgrohe, ionic hair dryer). Staff was pleasant and always available. We enjoyed the very supportive but padded mattress and abundance of quality pillows, the clothes washer/dryer, as well as satellite tv channels, youtube, netflix etc. In 60-75F temperatures we were very comfortable using the portable AC and abundant floor and ceiling fans. We would look forward to staying again at this hidden gem!

The apartment was very hot even with the provided fans.
Everything! Exceptionally clean, with everything we needed. Very comfortable beds and the terrace was a very nice surprise!

Great location, clean , and everything was an expected. Looks like it’s been recently renovated although it is an old building the finishing was great. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly as well. Andre was great, good conversation and was happy to help with requests. I was upgraded as well , I had a one bedroom apartment. Great stay.

The a/c unit was a window unit and very noisy - and there was no a/c in the main living area

Only slight downside; we stayed during recent hot weather & although there was a portable air conditioner in the lounge, the bedrooms were really hot to sleep in. Not a problem for 99% of the time in the UK though!
Perfect location for a concert at the Royal Albert Hall, that doesn’t break the bank!

The setup of 3 beds/3 baths is so nice…beds were comfortable…and the a/c units were amazing….the staff was unbelievably nice & helpful..it is close to 2 tube stations which gives options

The property is amazing, newly renovated apartments, very clean and the staff is very friendly and always helpful. The location is in a great neighborhood, very quiet, close to market places and coffee shops, located in between Earls Court and Glauchester Road underground stations that made it very easy to reach all main London attractions with the underground metro.

I was very disappointed with the extra charge which the staff assured me it would not be taken out but was. The amount originally they wanted was £248 but they said they would accept £150. It was still taken out of my bank account when the payment would not taken out.
The location was great and managed to find it with no problem with excellent transport links.

The only issue was a noisy neighbour, but this was sorted out by the staff next day.
