Coel Ila is a comfortable, immaculately presented place to stay in a beautiful wee village. It is within a 15-minute drive of Oban and in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is in a very quiet and pretty area and feels private without being remote. The owner is very helpful and friendly and had put much thought into making my stay at Coel Ila very comfortable and pleasant. This included a generous welcome pack, which was above and beyond expectations. She also popped over to make sure I had everything I needed. Communication with the owner was excellent from the minute I booked. She is an excellent host who is friendly and helpful. Coel Ila is adjoined to the fanily home but has its own private separate entrance and private decking/ garden area. The decor is modern with good lighting and very modern furnishings, and the accommodation is exceptionally clean. It smells beautiful! It had absolutely everything I needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to easy parking right outside the door. The beautiful private decking overlooking a private garden area was a real treat and got the sun all day long well into the evening. It is sheltered and very comfortable. It's a lovely place to sit out and chill with a glass of wine. Coel Ila also has a large flat screen television in both the living area and bedroom, with streaming services in both. I slept very well for the 4 nights that I was there as the bed was very comfortable and the room was exceptionally quiet. This was my second visit to Coel Ila, and certainly, it won't be my last. Thank you for another fab and restful stay. I truly was in need of such a relaxing break!

Nothing, I liked everything.

We liked everything. They have gone above and beyond. We were so happy staying here for 3 nights and would have happily stayed longer. They had milk and orange juice in the fridge on our arrival, fresh croissants and more. The place looked lovely, the TV, lighting, everything had been clearly thought out and was very much appreciated. Thank you.

The location was spectacular and the accommodation was immaculate and included little touches like a welcome basket. The owner could not do enough to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Definitely going back.

Absolutely nothing, except there were no sheep and lambs in the yard.

This property was superb. The owner left orange juice, Scottish shortbread, fresh croissants, jams, chocolate and a delightful 1 bedroom apartment. It was spotless, quiet and a lovely location. A tv in the living room and the bedroom with Netflix etc. was a bonus. We wish we had stayed longer than 3 nights. Oban is delightful.

Love this place! Everything is perfect. Absolutely spotless and comfortable. So many little touches that make it just lovely to spend time in, from the welcome pack to the oh so comfortable bed! Loved sitting on the sunny decking with my new wee pal, Struan the cat! Since I arrived in the middle of a mini heatwave, it was extra nice. Great communication with the helpful owner . I am back in July and honestly cannot wait. Thank you so very much for a wonderful restful stay!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The place was spotless, really comfortable, and had everything we needed. It felt like a perfect little home away from home. The location was great, close enough to explore Oban easily but still in a nice, quiet spot to relax. We had such a great time and felt so comfortable the whole stay.

This was a last minute booking for New Year. The host had ensured the accommodation was warm and welcoming. A bottle of Prosecco and treats like shortbread and mince pies had been supplied for us, plus enough essentials for breakfast the next morning. It was spotlessly clean, and many thoughtful details added to the sense of welcome. The bedroom felt cosy and there were phone charging points near the bed. Whilst there aren’t any landscape views from the property, other than the garden, it is located a short walk away from a large beach. I imagine the beach is very busy in summer with holiday camps in the vicinity. As we were there on New Years Day we could see a crowd of New Year swimmers which was fun. We also found some other stunning areas to explore not too far away and we enjoyed some magnificence views on our walks.

Coel Ila is a fabulous couples accommodation minutes walk from a gorgeous beach. The accommodation is beautifully furnished and equipped and as my husband was deer stalking I wished I had taken a bike with me so I could cycle further around the lanes during the days when I had no access to a car. I would highly recommend Coel Ila as it is a lovely place to stay and is in a glorious location

The croissant contained marzipan, which could have been fatal for someone with a nut allergy. Some kind of warning might be in order. But that apart, I couldn't fault the property, which was beyond excellent.

The property was very clean and well maintained. Milk, orange juice, croissants, butter and preserves were provided for our arrival, The bed was extremely comfortable, and the property was very private.

Great, quiet location - clean, spacious and comfortable unit with a very well equipped kitchen. Ideal for exploring the beauty of the surrounding areas. The breakfast provisions are a lovely extra touch and the host was extremely friendly and helpful.

It was perfect

It was in a beautiful quite location. There was milk and orange juice in the fridge which was good as we could get a hot drink when we got there. There was an assortment of different coffee pods if you liked coffee, some cereal, biscuits even a couple of choccy bars, which was a great touch.
