Lovely little room, very comfortable and with a fantastic tray of goodies including a welcome drink. Great toiletries. Perfectly clean. Very efficient check in, check out and breakfast. Friendly staff. Happy to look after our bags either side of our stay.

Such a charming, unique & quirky guesthouse which swept us away. The staff are so helpful- from book in to farewell- the communication was excellent. Our family room was beautifully furnished with an excellent shower.

The only thing not to like was the bed- although lovely & big, it seemed to be imprinted with previous bodies. Like the memory foam (if it was that) had remembered other bodies & was a bit odd.

Fab location- near the main attractions, and an easy walk from the train station. Nice big bedroom & shower/bathroom. Nice relaxing lounge area. Amazing breakfast every morning! Staff friendly & helpful. Nice touches like availability (with an honesty box) of bottled water & snacks.

The only downside were the towels... a bit on the small side. That's a really minor gripe.

Lovely room with a good view in a very quiet area just outside the city walls. Staff were very friendly, and the breakfast hamper was decent.

We stayed at a family room, which has a separate room for my child. The interior decoration of the room fits well with a town like York taking you back to the old time. If you like history and culture, you will like this house. The room is clean and the house makes sure you have plenty of drinks and snacks option at your room. The breakfast is superb! It is one of the best we have enjoyed during our tour in England. Last but not the least, the warm welcome from the house staff makes you feel at home.

Nothing to complain, all was grand.

Amazing guesthouse very close to both railway station and city centre. The room was clean and cozy, spacious bathroom with bathtub and douche. Breakfast included in the price, it is tasty and with different option for vegan. The place itself is magic, with a nice lounge with books and games, little tea-coffee station and a fridge. We had the opportunity to leave our luggage for the rest of the next day. It is absolutely worth its money, the staff is wonderful and helpful. It is quiet, clean and overall great.

An amazing stay. Helpful, friendly staff. Quirky aesthetics. Comfortable bed. Location. We stayed in room 5, with a view of York Minster. Attention to detail...we were staying for our anniversary, a complimentary box of chocolates was left on bed for us 🥰 Breakfast hamper 😋
