The sofa and bed were hard. We ended up sleeping on the duvet to make it more comfy and put the spare single duvet over our legs. The sofa gave me a bad back if I sat for too long. The property details Included a BBQ but you had to pay for it. Only £5 and that includes a bag of briquettes but they should make that clearer on the description.

The location is great. The cabin was surrounded by trees, plenty of wildlife to see and loved the fact they put a bird house on the patio. We had torrential rain one night and the cabin was fine. The staff are very friendly and the small shop is well stocked. We loved the peaceful nature of the place and would stay again.

The location and setting is brilliant. Exactly what we needed as a family for a quiet retreat. Loved the easy access to beach front. The shop onsite is very convenient.

Cautiion if your not used to steep hills and single track roads.

Location is great within short (steep) walk from beach and coastal paths. Trees and shrubs give privacy from other accommodations so great with our large dog. We also very much appreciated the nearby private dog field which we booked daily for a small fee.

Location is great for the beach just a little walk away or free parking given at Wembury, and surrounding areas like plymouth dartmouth for days out. Great walks locally with amazing views with local tennis courts and play areas to use.

We stayed in a lovely little cabin for a short break. Loved that it was surrounded by trees, and a short walk to the beach. All staff we bumped into were friendly. Can't wait to come back.

The country roads around Churchwood Valley are an adventure but easy enough once we got the hang of it. The shower is quite small making for an amusing wash for my 6ft 5 husband 😂 It also has very little water pressure - we affectionately named it 'the trickle'. This did not detract from our visit and is understandable given the location. Our cabin smelled quite strongly of damp for the duration of our stay. I bought some febreeze and aired out the cabin which helped. But the removal of the drawer unit where the smell is coming from would fix this.

Churchwood Valley is a beautiful location. Our cosy little two-person cabin was more like being in a tree house! The furnishings are simple but comfortable and the space has everything you need for a great stay. The patio space was cloistered in the trees making for a lovely private space to sit - and in the quiet evenings, you can even hear the rolling waves from Wembury beach that is just a few minutes' walk away. We found this a fantastic base for our visits to Plymouth as we were just a 20-minute drive from the centre. Furthermore, it was a handy base for our trips into beautiful Cornwall. We had such a wonderful adventure.

I only missed a dryer for drying wet towels or blankets on the terrace after being at beach. This would have been helpful.

The beds were a bit disappointing, as we are a tall family and found them too thin and small. That was the only drawback.

Our cabin had a beautiful view, surrounded by trees and bushes, offering a level of privacy that’s rare these days. We enjoyed the peaceful sounds of nature throughout our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils—nearly everything you might need—and everything was spotlessly clean, with many items appearing brand new. We found the location absolutely divine.
