They certainly seem very understaffed on the bar and checking areas a lot of queueing and waiting. One guy trying to do everything, including showing people to their rooms ,having to leave the bar completely unattended , with customers waiting. Breakfast was very nice, but the scrambled egg had been under the salamander too long ,and he put the beans over the top of the mushrooms ,not ideal . Again probably short staffed

Very convenient, preferred the courtyard rooms to the ones cross the road. Restaurant meal was very good as was the breakfast flavour.

Bathroom needed a little upkeep. Crockery chipped. Very noisy on the Friday night /early hours both outside and in the apartment block.

Welcomed by staff. Apartment was a lovely size. Location central. Has parking. Opening hours very good. Breakfast very good. All staff welcoming and friendly. Rates good.

The room was nice and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was well cooked, but there was only a cooked breakfast - no cereal, no fruit. Good choice of evening meals however, from the pub menu.

The sash window in the living room, was rather hard to put down , on Sunday night , we just closed the curtains and left the top section open . Luckily it was a warm evening , resolved the next morning . No teaspoons… no cleaning materials ( if You were staying longer than a few days )

Location in the middle of the town , loved the underfloor heating . We stayed in the mews apartment on the first floor . Peaceful, although I would imagine, weekends would be a little noisy the limoncello spritzers are amazing 🤩 washing machine, dish washer.

Not a lot of ventilation in bathroom, easily got quite humid. The staff at breakfast were much less enthusiastic and friendly, than the day before.

Very central location and great for us. Facilities were good, clean, plenty of space. Had a very friendly and attentive staff member show us to our room and explain how to use the access codes. AC in the room! Yes, thank you!

The staff member we spoke to first didn't know where our apartment was and left us at the door to the wrong building and you don't replace items left off breakfast due to an allergy or adapt price.

The apartment was very nice and the bed was comfortable and there was a friendly atmosphere in the bar. Breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly.

The only issue which some people would have with the venue is that it is also a very busy night club with DJ till 1.15am Friday and Saturday. They do point this out on their website, so they aren't hiding anything, but if you are after a quiet weekend retreat this isn't the place for you. It wasn't a problem for us at we were at a wedding all day so by the time we got back the club was closing (and I'd remembered my earplugs just in case!)

On arriving, we were given a room that is more suitable for a single person. I kept knocking my legs on the wooden bed frame, which has left me in bruises on my sheen's. Because the bed is far too big for the room, giving you little room to move around. Maybe down size the bed or advertise to a single person. Very cramped. However, we enjoyed the air-conditioning. Much needed in the summer nights. The food on the evening was exceptional, but the breakfast let's it down. Poor choice, and you can't alter the breakfast ( i.e., if you didn't like sausage or any other item, you could not swap it for another, ) no cereal but porridge? What if you don't like porridge? Maybe add yoghurt, cereal, and fruits to the menu. as well as allow alternative choices. I can understand a fixed menu to save costs.

I would like to give a mention to the staff, especially the ladies who worked in house keeping. Friendly and welcoming and are the heart of the pub. As are the other staff. We arrived on the Friday evening and managed to get a meal in the restaurant. The food is prepared fresh and tastes lovely. The pub is quaint.
