The decor was tired and needed to be updated. Room comfortable but shabby. The little round table was old vanish peeling. The window dirty and moisture on the window sill.

Was noisy inside the hotel, breakfast was average when staff stopped chatting long enough to serve you, light in corridor was slow to come on, made me feel quite unsafe in the dark.

    Great location.

Beds - past their best. Advertised as dog friendly, but no area to eat with a dog; not allowed to be left in room alone. Parking was a nightmare.

The bath was very slippery & I would have preferred a walk in shower which we had when last staying here as although we had a power shower over the bath I did slip on getting out which has given me a nasty bruise on the back of my knee.

The room had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable & the breakfast was lovely. We were offered housekeeping each day although it wasn't needed which was a nice touch.

All rear rooms overlook the bus station garage, so with the heat and open windows you get a lot of shouting and beeping during the night. I just wore ear plus and slept well. Parking was sometimes a challenge due to roadworks making access to main car parks a bit of a challenge. On street parking can be found though, and is usually very close by. The hotel badly needs a refurb. Public areas are all well worn. I happily sat in the sunshine and read my book, though. I expected what we got, due to experience with other seaside towns, but felt that the price per room was steep for a decaying 3 star hotel. If you want to be in Worthing, which is a nice place on a sunny day, then there are few other options though.

The desk staff are the ones you see all the time. They are great - friendly, helpful and with a good attitude. It's easy to take breakfast (at an additional but reasonable charge) or not. Hotel itself is quiet. Rooms are clean as are bathrooms. The staff clearly try and look after the place. Free WiFi. Lifts. Although there is no foof after breakfast, there are many cafes and restaurants nearby at various price points. Most are excellent. We ate in the evening at Perch and the Crab Shack, breakfasted at the Oak cafe. The feel is very pleasant due to the setting - a Georgian square with grass centre, almost facing beach and pier which can both be reached in moments. This part of town is well maintained and still has a slightly faded splendour.

The bathrooms need ripping out and modernising, they might have been clean but very dated.

The coffee was excellent, it's nice to have filtered coffee and not a push button machine. The use of the free baggage room was really helpful.

The price made it alright. Furniture and bathroom were quite worn and tired looking but everything was adequate.

I didn't have breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The.bed was comfortable. The ensuite had seen better days, but acceptable for the price. It has a good location.

The room had ants on almost every surface which was really concerning for cleanliness and the free toiletries advertised seemed to be just a generic soap in a dispenser on the wall.

The location was fantastic, a very very short walk from the beach and the high street.

In one of our rooms, because it was an attic room, the bath/shower was awkward to step into and the shower head was too low so you couldn't stand under it due to the slanting roof.

Bar / lounge area nice to socialise in and really helpful staff.

Pleasant enough visit to "Sussex by the sea"!

On arrival, I made myself a cup of tea. the "long- life" milk was, well shall I say, fast approaching the end of it's life. I asked for some more, the receptionist changed them without any fuss, but only to discover that the new ones were little better. I bought some semi-skimmed from Tesco instead! The bed was a bit too soft for me.

It was certainly a great location. Not only did the 2nd floor room offer a view of the Steyne Gardens, you could also see the sea as well. Very handy for local buses and there was some good pubs nearby. A nice, spacious room.
