Everything was beautifully done and Michelle and her family were lovely. The rooms were spacious, cosy and very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was all freshly prepared and probably the best breakfast we have had during our vacation. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Everything. Couldn’t fault this beautiful rural property. Michelle was just lovely. Fantastic breakfast with just a taste of haggis too. G3 ground floor rooms ….do no stairs.

We had booked a B&B and got perfect hosts, friendly, open, helpful who took care of everything we needed. Our room was thoughtfully designed, very comfortable beds and an absolutely amazing breakfast. In a nutshell: did we miss anything? No! Would we recommend this B&B to our friends? Yes! Would we return? Yes! 😊😊

Michelle and David, the hosts, were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts were freshly made and delicious. A nice touch was the small piece of cake on the tea and coffee tray in the room. A different variety each day. The rooms are spotless and well presented.

The bedroom walls are plasterboard so there is limited inter-room sound-proofing. Additionally, the plumbing is quite noisy. If you are a light-sleeper, you may need ear plugs for a full night's sleep.

This is a lovely place! The hosts were so welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I would recommend their B&B highly.

From a very warm welcome everything was overwhelming, lovely decorated, quiet area. The breakfast was amazing and delicious. We felt being treated with the highest level of hospitality. We dearly enjoyed our stay.

Highly recommended, great friendly hosts, really good breakfast & so quiet and peaceful, would like to stay there again. A visit to Stonehaven is a must and not too far away!

We loved our room, the beds were comfy, as were the pillows, 2 lovely armchairs to relax in, a fabulous bathroom with a great shower and huge fluffy towels. Breakfast was to die for, freshly made pancakes to start with, berry compote with yogurt and home made granola. Full Scottish breakfast, if you can manage it, and never ending toast and coffee! Michelle and Dave are the best hosts - friendly and welcoming and happy to chat!. The whole house is immaculate as well as comfortable and homely. I can't recommend Chapel of Barras highly enough!

This is a fantastic place. A real gem. It is in a perfect location for visiting Dunottar Castle and is just off the NCN1 cycle route. We were cycling the NCN1 from Edinburgh to Aberdeen and this property provided a quiet place to stay with storage for our bikes. A beautiful location and great hosts/owners.
