I would have liked more cooking utensils in the kitchen.

A good location for the Fringe Festival - easy to walk to many of the venues and near a bus route for further destinations. Lovely helpful and knowledgeable staff. A good shower in the bathroom and huge fluffy towels.

We had issues with the booking and it was absolutely impossible to get help from booking.com.

Staff was nice about it, but we had an issue that booking.com had to help with.

For 2 big sized middle aged persons the room was a bit tight. We managed though.

Location and easiness. Also washing machines were great and easy to use.

My flat was on the road side of the block so was a little noisy but not too bad. Also when other people flushed their toilet I could hear it really loudly (not noticed this before).

Great central location for the Fringe. Clean and comfy beds. Nice to have fridge space etc and own bathroom.

The beds are not suitable for two people at all, the living room with the kitchen has no curtains, there is no dishwasher, and the washing machine is shared on the ground floor, and the washing and drying is for a fee, and washing powder is not provided. Cooking utensils are not available, only plates, spoons and mugs. Making an omelette for the children was a challenge for me because there was no cutting board, no frying pan, and I bowl to mix the eggs and other basic supplies. A small non-stick pot without a lid was provided, in addition to two small aluminum pots that are not healthy, but I could not use them because when I washed them, the water turned gray due to poor workmanship. When I asked for an alternative, they excused me by saying that this place is not a hotel apartment and is designated for students. The next day, I went down to the reception and expressed my dissatisfaction with the poor condition and lack of cooking utensils, and then they responded to me and provided me with some utensils and basic cooking supplies.

The apartment was for students and consisted of a wide corridor with doors and each door had a lock leading to a room. At the end of the corridor was a sitting room with a kitchen with a large refrigerator, a stove and an oven. One of the things that made up the room was a glass window overlooking a beautiful garden. The apartment is located next to the University of Edinburgh.

The room was not very quiet however I think based on the sounds (running water?) that they were outwith anybody’s control.

I didn’t try the food here but the location was lovely, the buildings were easy to navigate and staff were very helpful.

The sofa wasn’t very big for a property that accommodates 8, and the bathroom smelled a little (damp)? The fire doors on all bedroom doors are self closing and lock - appreciate this is a necessary health and safety requirement but it’s risky for young children who may leave their cards in the room, plus my son frappe his finger in the bedroom door as it’s so heavy in order to self close

Excellent location, friendly staff who were quick to reply to email queries, access to table tennis and pool in reception

The kitchen could have a bit more of basic stuff (pans, glasses, dishes, etc). A few decoration would improve the place.

The student residency worked as hotel for our trip to Edinburgh. We were 7 people all together and an apartment with 4 rooms worked well for us. The kitchen was very useful to save money avoiding paying for breakfast. The facilities are amazing in terms of noise cancelling.
