We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThe only thing that worried me was the blind cords in the room. I was worried about a cat getting caught in them as I've heard such horror stories about it happening - but I'm sure that's just me and my anxiety. It's not really a dislike, just a worry for me
I booked this as a surprise for my little girl as well as for myself as we both adore cats. Her reaction to it couldn't have been better! The kitties were absolutely adorable and even came for snuggles at night time with us in bed! The hosts were lovely and so helpful. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. My little girl loved it so much that she broke down in tears in the train station after we left because she didn't want to leave the cats- especially Midnight the little kitten! She absolutely broke her heart, so I think we can safely say we'll be back soon!

United KingdomNothing to complain about. All was good!
Super cosy atmosphere, relaxed and friendly hosts. Cats aplenty and even a kitten!!! Lots of gaming options and a cool projector/cinema room. The room we stayed in was a perfect size, the bed was SUPER comfortable, sheets were clean and crisp, facilities were all in good order and the steam shower does wonders for any bodily tension you might be feeling. Overall: a lovely chill environment, we would definitely return! Also nice and close to amenities and other fun activities; namely the Arcade Club, which is a must for the gamers!

United KingdomNothing! I didn’t want to leave! Especially when a 6 week old kitten was following me everywhere. Midnight is so cute.
It was a home away from home. Chloe is very friendly, the cats are friendly. There’s treats you can feed the cats and toys you can play with them with. There’s human treats too such as biscuits and sweets. And a Tassimo machine in the room with lots of pods…perfect with the biscuits. I had the baby kitten in my room all night long along with their eldest cat watching over. At one point in the night I had 3 cats in the room as I leave the door open so the cats can come/go as they please. The property is just a stones throw from the tram stop to take you to the town centre. Or it’s a pleasant 40 minute walk along the front. I didn’t use the gaming room, but had a look. It’s very spacious and would be a gamers dream. The cinema room looked really cozy, but I didn’t use it on this visit.

United KingdomAnyone who has multiple cats knows they each have their own personalities, and all of the cats looked after by the hosts at Cavendish cat and gaming are affectionate, playful, and happy. The cleanliness and decor here are excellent, and I would have given 10/10 except for the fact that one cheeky cat 🐈 likes to spray around the house. However, it hasn't put me off staying here, and with my son who loves this place as much as I do.
Everything, the facilities, the decor the location, the hosts, and the cats! The whole experience is amazing, and if, like me, you enjoy the comfort of home, cats, gaming, and helpful, friendly hosts Chloe and Jordan, this place CAN NOT be beaten. Especially with the proximity to the beach, sea air with lots of delicious places to eat if you do want to venture out....Oh and it's blackpool so not forgetting the Fun Fairs (piers and pleasure beach) and amusements all close but not too close by. I love experiencing this side to blackpool.

United KingdomThe downstairs area has a strong smell of cat urine from when you open the door to the porch but I cannot say enough- the house was immaculately clean! It wasn’t dirty at all, it’s just one of those things. I know that’s to be expected as it’s a cat hotel, The bedrooms and upstairs did not smell at all- and the basement also didn’t as the cats are not allowed down there.
Owner was lovely and her little girl adorable. Hardly saw them. House is immaculate inside, lovely living room and kitchen, rooms were clean too and just the right size. Location is perfect to get the tram. I know a few people have mentioned the blinds but I’ll be honest didn’t bother us in the slightest. Brought my daughter and seeing midnight the 4 week old kitten was her absolute dream. We didn’t use the gaming rooms but we went down for a look. Lovely set up.

United KingdomThe blinds in the two double rooms are broken and consequently let in a lot of light. If that bothers you just be sure to bring a travel blackout blind. There wasn't a lamp in the twin room so I had to use the torch on my mobile phone. Also the coffee machines in the rooms are a bit pointless without any coffee pods. Personally I was more than happy to use the kettle and complimentary teas and coffee downstairs in the kitchen so they're not really needed. Those are really minor things that really don't detract from the main draw of this place which is it's homeliness and the wonderful cats!!!
The cats were shy and timid to start with but after the first day we were being greeted with the cutest meows and treated to the best kitty cuddles. It's a home from home with full use of the kitchen, living room and basement as well as shared use of the bathroom with any other guests staying. We had booked all three rooms so it was only us there. There is a car parking bay in the front yard which is shared with the owners car when they are home. Even though the owners were there we hardly saw them as they tend to keep to different parts of the house and have their own bedroom and shower room on the second floor. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. It's just a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the cats are the ultimate stress relief! The location is just up the coast from all the hubbub of Blackpool but the tram stops right outside the house and run every ten mins. We would definitely come back if we ever decide to take another break in Blackpool!!

United KingdomIt was absolutely roasting hot the day we stayed. A fan or AC unit would have been the icing on the cake although the room did have an air purifier. Clutching at straws with these comments though.
We aren't gamers but we are cat people. Because it was a hot day when we arrived we didn't see any cats in the house but the mountain of cat food around the edge of the kitchen suggested we were in the right place. We did see a few cats in the shade in the garden and one cat asleep on a bed of one of the other rooms, the occupier apparently happy to leave the door open to welcome furry friends. So we decided to do the same when we left for the evening (we obviously kept our valuables with us but it really doesn't feel like there'd be any reason to worry). When we got back we were very excited to see a young cat in the room but they were quite shy and soon decided to leave. We left the door ajar and started trying to go to sleep and that's when the magic started. First one, then two, then three.... I saw the first one before I fell to sleep but my partner assures me she was visited through the night by beautiful and friendly cats who loved to lie next to her and snuggle with lots of stroking and purring. So on those grounds I would highly recommend staying to any cat lover!

United KingdomThere’s nothing we didn’t like about the property.
We loved absolutely everything! The cats, the hosts, the gaming room, the cinema room and the bedroom! Everything was top standard and clean and tidy. Chloe went extra amounts to make sure my girlfriend had the best 30th birthday and decorated the room, got her a card, put balloons everywhere and even got her a cake and some champagne! The cats were super cuddly and loving and there was treats out for us and the cats so we could give them some. There was a 3 week old kitten too called midnight who just stole our hearts as did binky and all of the other kitty cats. The kitchen is lovely sized and nice and clean, there’s everything you need in there like a cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and freezer for communal use incase you want to stay in or on a lower budget and want to cook at the house and when you just want a cup of tea or coffee, there was hot chocolate available too. It was just me and my partner one night so we had the whole house to ourselves and we deffo took advantage of the cinema room. We cuddled up on the sofa with some munchie bits and watched some films on the big screen. My partner chose Paddington in Peru and herbie fully loaded as it was her birthday night. We left our bedroom door open majority of the time so the cats could walk in and sleep when they wanted too and left it open a crack at night for them to come in for cuddles when they wanted some. The bathroom was lovely too, took us a while to figure out how to use the shower but we got there in the end. It’s also a jacuzzi bath incase you want to relax a bit more. The bedrooms are a lovely size and nice and clean and tidy. They all have a Tassimo machine as well. The cinema and gaming room are lovely! Could stay down there all night the sofas are so comfy and there’s even a weighted blanket in the cinema room. Cats sadly aren’t allowed down here though, but they’re allowed everywhere else in the house. The lounge is nice size too and there’s a tv in every room.

United KingdomI left my towel from home on the floor and one of the cats had a wee on it, completely my fault for leaving it on the floor knowing it smelt like my cats from home but just a warning don’t leave clothes or towels on the floor as the cats may have an accident on them and mark their territory 😂
We had the best time staying for 4 nights, Chloe was so kind and made us feel so welcome. The cats were amazing and i loved having different ones each night sleeping with us, it was so lovely. We had plans each day doing different things in blackpool and the location of the house was perfect, we drove and parked in the center but the tram was just at the top of the road so it was easily accessible if we did want to use it. Honestly i had the best time and felt in my element the whole stay, i have two cats of my own but now i want more and more. We also got to feed the cats which was lovely, we got very lucky and got to meet the newborn kitten too. It is an amazing place.
