The room itself was full of character and period features. It had plenty of storage, a TV, tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom was easily big enough for us and the shower was very roomy. There was some street noise in the mornings but this was to be expected being in the centre of the old town and having period single glazed windows! This didn't bother us during our stay, but bear it in mind if you are going to stay. There were also a limited number of plug sockets in the room, for charging phones etc. Again no issue to us, and understandable with the age of the property, and the fact its probably listed!

Bathroom a little snug but manageable. We had the room on the top floor with its own sitting room, so very spacious other than the bathroom. At the end of the day, its a very old building and the owners have made great use of the space available. Bed was too soft for me but the Mrs thougt it was fine.

The breakfast room is beautifully decorated, the menu exceptional and staff really helpful and welcoming. We were advised on good places to eat and drink, and the local record shops. Parking available too.

The room was a little cramped around the bed , the bathroom was in need of some cosmetic treatment . The extractor fan was either not working or not strong enough for the room.

The location couldn`t be better right in the centre of Lincoln and only a 3 min walk from the cathedral and castle. Breakfasts were excellant and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Access to the Cathedral View's car park is a little tight, manageable but tight..

Excellent location. The Cathedral View Guest House lies midway between the cathedral and the castle, a few yards from each, at the top of Steep Hill. Although plain and nondescript from the street, the guest house, a former coaching Inn, has charm and character as well as history, creaky stairs, oak beams and friendly, knowledgeable hosts hosts. It is clean and comfortable and I wish I could have stayed longer..

Fantastic location,historic area and great atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful,knowledgeable about the area and kind enough to give us a fan for our room on a couple of the hottest days of the year!

Location was fabulous being within walking distance of all main sites. Owners were very helpful especially as we altered our checkin time and had to do a self checkin. Our room was huge and had a separate seating area which was lovely.

The room we stayed in was just okay for a couple and there was no room for a chair, although there is a lounge in the main building that could be used for relaxing in. The room would be an ideal size for a single traveller. The walls seemed a bit thin as you could hear guests in the next room coughing, extractor fans etc. We visited in a heatwave and there was an electric fan provided although at night with the blinds down it could be a little stuffy, even with the window open. Be aware that the entrance to the rear car park is a bit narrow for modern day cars, with just a few inches of wiggle room either side, but the building itself is listed so nothing can be done about that!

The location is excellent for exploring the historic Cathedral Culture of Lincoln, with its many independent shops.The breakfasts were superb with a good choice of cooked or cereals and as much tea /coffee and toast as you would like. The staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was very nice and the walk-in shower most welcome after a day’s exploring. Having free off-street parking is a real bonus.

Very good breakfast with a variety of food available to suit everyone's needs. Great location for exploring the beautiful city of Lincoln. Also great advantage being able to pak the car for free. Lovely friendly staff wo were happy to help with what ever we needed.

Couldn't fault it. Not even the walk back up steep hill from the town centre!!

Brilliant guest house close to quite a few pubs and restaurants so easy to find somewhere to eat. Everyone was really welcoming and we would definitely go back. Room was clean and the breakfast was really good, some of the best scrambled eggs I have had!
