Perfect location with an amazing view

Love how close it is to Fistral Beach but also the Newquay Land Train pickup point is just around the corner.

I was promised a family room but got a small twin. Couldn't get heater to work when my nephew got cold after being pushed over in the sea while paddling. Bathroom was tiny and I'm a larger person. Door to the bathroom hits toilet, shower door opens the same side as the sink so I had to get past the sink to get in shower.

Great location, close to the beach. The staff were super friendly and the room was clean and cosy. The hotel features a nice lounge and the restaurant has a good selection of food. Would definitely book again when coming to Newquay.

Nothing could have been better !

Location was great and the staff were very friendly. They made a real fuss of our dog.

The size of our room. We were given an extremely small double room with a large dog. When I complained they admitted that they shouldn't have given us that room but couldn't move us because they were fully booked. I went on the 'booking.com' website just to check the room I had booked and from the photos and the room specification it seemed like the room we had been given was an economy double. When I bought this up they insisted that it was a double not an economy double. It was such a small room that even without the dog it would have been difficult to move around it. They refunded the cost of the dog but that was it. I gave up arguing with them about my insistence that it was more like an economy double then a double and that really we should have had the difference refunded. I have written a complaint to booking.com' for false representation because the double room they were advertising was defiantly was not what we got!!

Decor Slightly tired looking in corridors but only a minor

The breakfast was lovely. A variety of choice and room for customising too. Filled us up for the day. Super friendly staff, lounge/bar area was comfortable and spacious. The games room with pickleball was an added bonus as was the free hire of surf equipment. And the location for the sunset was perfect as was the distance to the town and beaches. Would highly recommend and plan to go back with the rest of the family.

All good. Rooms facing the sea were a little too hot, could do with fans in rooms.

Location was amazing for Newquay centre and Fistral Beech.

Only issue we had was the bar closing earlier than advertised.

We have just come back from 4 nights in the oceanside lifestyle hotel. We had the basic double it was clean bed was comfy and big and just rt for us as we love getting out and about. The hotel is so very near to fistral beach I mean a few minutes in fact outside in the really welcoming outside area you can see the sea. Also we enjoyed lovely weather so that meant just before bed we sat outside and there were 3 fires in the. Front tables so nice. The staff were lovely especially some of the young bar staff so chatty and helpful all staff were helpful. The hotel is not cheap but affordable in such a lovely area as I say near beach front. We are deffo going again. Can't wait

I can't say anything bad as it's a lovely ordinary hotel with ordinary people running it and that makes you feel at home

Fantastic hotel with the most gorgeous view. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. Will definitely stay again when visiting Newquay.

The breakfast was great, and in a comfortable setting. Staff lovely. Bed comfy.

Our requested upgrade wasn’t actioned unfortunately so we had a budget room, which was fine for one evening but very small and no soundproofing with neighbouring room. However, it was still okay and we were happy enough.

It’s such a perfect location - so close to Fistral beach and can walk into town! Great bar and great food - the breakfast is lovely! Rooms beautiful and clean but

They didn’t clean our room in 3 days so don’t replenish toilet roll and tea / coffee and the beds in standard double rooms were quite uncomfortable - a bit too soft!

The location is nice, close to Fistral Beach and nice walks along the coast. It is also a quiet area compared to the busy city center. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good. The bathroom was clean and spacious and the shower had good water pressure.

Seeing the images and ratings of the hotel, I thought it would be a fairly nice place. But the facilities could really use some love. The restaurant area looked nice but most tables were sticky. The room was a disappointment and didn't look as expected. Already the door was yellow and dirty, and some walls in the room also had marks on it. There were stains on the ceiling and everything just felt quite cheap. Even though the staff really was very friendly, the organization was not good. At dinner we first waited a very long time for the food. (As did the people next to our table) Then they brought a wrong order. By the time my mum had finished her meal, mine arrived. (The food however was very good). We then ordered 2 decaf coffees. Waited for such a long time that we had to go and ask again. When they finally brought the coffees I wanted to make sure they are decaf. They were not. So we waited again. The next day at lunch they completely forgot my order and just brought one meal. Again by the time my mum was finished, I then got my meal. (The server was however very friendly and apologetic) Breakfast was also not what we expected. If you want toast, cheese or something else than muesli, you have to order it. Again we waited for a while until someone came to take our order. The poached egg was not poached but some kind of weird steamed egg-square. All the waiting and repeatedly wrong orders were a real disappointment.
