I expected to be closer to Portree and had the idea of a stroll into town, but the accommodation was up a narrow poorly surfaced road about 2 miles out of town and given the state of the roads around Portree would have been dangerous for walking. You definitely need a car to stay here, having said that parking in Portree is tricky to say the least.

Accomodation was beautifully and tastefully decorated with everything that you could possibly need available. Hosts were lovely and breakfast first class.

Nothing to complain

This was the best property in our trip in whole of Scotland (which included the main cities). The rooms are exceedingly well appointed, each with its own particular decoration and charm, and very spacious. The hosts were supper attentive and helpful, the breakfast was superb, served a la carte. It is well located, 5 mins outside the village of Portree, in an excellent location from which to explore the whole Isle of Skye. It is relatively expensive if compared to other b&bs, but worth every penny.

Canowindra is in a convenient location. The beds are comfortable and the shower was relaxing. Rick and Georgie are wonderful hosts and shared hints to enjoy the island. The Breakfast was delicious....don't miss Georgie's homemade granola!

Nothing we didn't like.

We came to Scotland for 16 days and the 3 we spent with Georgie and her husband Rick were the best. We felt like we were staying with good friends, the house was so comfortable, cozy, spotless clean, huge bathroom, toiletries that I'm going to have to figure out how to import, plenty of towels, comfortable bed. And the breakfast... omg the breakfast is amazing. Plenty of privacy when you want it, but also the ability to talk to the owners and guests when you want. We looked forward to each night there and starting each day off there. They catered to my gluten free needs and let me tell you, it was delicious and I started each day on a full stomach. If we ever come back to Skye, I hope we get to stay with them again, we enjoyed it so very much.

Beautiful B&B just outside of Portree. It is very well appointed with attention to details. Breakfast was a dream! Try the homemade granola. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

There was nothing that we would change. It was by far the best place that we have stayed in on our tour around Scotland.

Beautiful B&B near Portree on the Island of Skye. Terrific location about a mile outside the bustle of Portree. Lovely room and bath. Great hot breakfast each day. The owners are on site and wonderful. good value compared to other places on Skye.
