Mel was so informative when we arrived. He helped with our luggage. Told us about breakfast times and how to order . Mel also told us about the fireworks that were happening that evening. They were brilliant.

Calm Sea Guesthouse is run by Mel and Trish who clearly enjoy hosting their guests and this influences every aspect of the experience. The room we stayed in was well equipped and immaculately clean. Breakfasts in the mornings were lovely, waffles and pancakes were a hit with the children, and served with cheer. Thank you.

Trish and Mel are the most welcoming couple. They give you detailed tips on what to do, where to eat, are unbelievably friendly and helpful. There were even some toys for the kids prepared in our room and the breakfast was fantastic. Couldn't wish for more. Room was clean and comfortable and literally 30 seconds to the beach.. Mel and Trish were exceptionally warm and helpful hosts who went out of their way to make my stay comfortable, offering great recommendations for local sights and restaurants. The location was perfect—just a short walk to town, the beach, and plenty of dining options—while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The room was spotlessly clean and cozy, and the guesthouse was close to some truly beautiful natural spots. Out of all the places I stayed during my three weeks in the UK, this was by far my favorite. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

The owners were very accommodating as i was unable to make Breakfast due to starting a race early so they went out there way and made me a continental breakfast to takeaway. My wife stayed and had breakfast and found the owners very friendly and would recommend a stay.

The property was clean, warm and ideally located. Mel and Trish was amazing, caring, a vast amount of local knowledge and ideas to give us ideas where we may like to visit. They was very attentive. And the breakfast was gorgeous. Miss it all already.

We visited Calm Sea Guesthosue with our young children and we had a wonderful stay. The room was beautifully clean, comfortable and included little extras such as sweets and games for the children and fresh milk in the fridge. Trish and Mel were beyond accommodating and lovely - they went above and beyond to make our time perfect. They even washed our son’s very sandy and wet coats for us, helped us with our bags, gave great recommendations and made delicious breakfast. Our children loved their chocolate waffles! The guesthouse is in a great spot, very close to the seafront and restaurants etc. Thank you so much, we hope to return in the future…

Hosts were fantastic and welcoming Lovely decor Fabulous breakfast so much! Homely feel Comfy room Real milk and a mini fridge in the room Tuck shop at reception with an honesty box. Information given to us by the hosts including recommendations for food, attractions and parking(permit was handed to us) The hosts go above and beyond to achieve a memorable stay
