Hot water supply, very slow.Not

The apartment was lovely - had everything we needed. Having a washing machine was excellent for us.

We thought we were going to a b and b but ended up with a flat which we much preferred.

Right off the main road in Port Ellen. Great little place.

Yard still in progress so the first impression was not the best. I´m sure that will improve in months and years to come.

This property was newly equipped with everything required for a comfortable stay. It was a great base to explore Islay and very handy for the ferry and local shops and eateries. The off road parking was useful too.

Small compact flat no 3 ground level. Stay 5 nights. Short walk to the 2 pubs and the one dine in restaurant in town. Flat Spotlessly clean throughout. Double bed was clean and comfortable, although smaller than used to but managed. Cleaning products and equipment provided. Excellent kitchen area with everything you need for cooking and food storage. Good TV channels are available, and we had no problems with Wifi. Bedroom had clothes rack with shelves. ( shelf baskets for smaller items would have been helpful) Plenty of coat hooks on doors. Quiet area next to Ferry Port.

Nothing that would stop us from returning. Best be aware there is a lack of local eating out places in Port Ellen.

Was in the perfect spot—right by the beach and an easy walk to the Three Distillery Path, which made visiting Laphroaig, Lagavulin, and Ardbeg a breeze. The room was decent, had everything we needed, and the location really couldn’t be better. Ideal for a whisky trip to Islay!

Great location and easy check in. They were extremely responsive and very friendly throughout the entire booking process and stay, and they let us check in several hours early without an extra charge. The rooms were clean and the views were great! There’s complimentary snacks available at all hours and a nice breakfast in the morning as well. Would highly recommend and we’d definitely stay there again!

Nothing, it was all great!

The host running the guesthouse and serving breakfast made the experience wonderful. We felt like family as soon as we entered. It's was a quaint room that was clean and had comfortable beds. All you need to have a good rest and explore the island.

Excellent location, sea views, plenty of parking spaces. Nice room size. Lovely dining area.

Availability of various paid for TV channels

Breakfast was good. Eating area had a fridge for your own food. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a tire on our that was leaking and the staff arranged an appointment with a mechanic.

Bed was a bit small compared to what we are used to but comfortable

Didn’t realize there wouldn’t be a longer type area. We hung out in the kitchen to play games at night but missed having a sofa area

Clean

The property states “units are fitted with a private bathroom”. The reality is that guests need to leave their bedroom and walk down a public ally accessible corridor to access the bathroom. Furthermore the front door to the “guesthouse” remains unlocked thus anyone could be on premises. It felt unsafe. I do not recommend staying at this facility.

I stayed at Cala Sith for 3 nights and it was a perfect base for exploring Islay. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and guests were able to use the breakfast room at any time too. The breakfast was amazing and staff super friendly.

Be aware that the private bathrooms are not attached to the bedrooms (at least in the room I booked). I didn't mind this, but some people might prefer an ensuite directly accessible from their bedroom.
